I’m in Block 251 and the atmosphere in the first half was dismal. So many man babies swearing and chucking the C bomb at all our players.

We were poor 1st half, seemed to be outnumbered all over the pitch and then Dier had a brain fart BUT I’m sick and tired of the drunken/coked up hard men all around me.

Get behind the team ffs!

No it wouldn't. We are without a star striker. They still have a much better starting 11 (only Kane and Son are good enough to make their matchday squad).

We have a chance of winning given their form. But ours isn't any good either.
Woah there.
Bentancur and Hojbjerg aren’t good enough for even a place on the bench ahead of Curtis Jones and oxlade chamberlain?

there’s exaggeration and then there’s this.
in all honesty, part of the reason why Liverpool are dropping is because of their midfield. Those two would be ahead of a lot in their midfield

I didn’t think the 1st half was anywhere near as bad as it has been. The first goal could have been avoided by one of the 5 defenders in the box actually getting close to their 1 player

the second was fucking awful

those apart, we were the better team for 75% of that game.

Ref was a fucking joke, don’t like moaning about them but he was, well he and the VAR

Yeah I usually don't go in on the ref but he was terrible today. Barely gave us a 50/50 all game, ignored a clear penalty and then only added on 4 mins at the end despite blatant time wasting for the entire half.

We battered Liverpool second half. Very frustrating as that game was there to be won today. Dier's mistake killed us.

Sorry my bad. Yes they are.

That's still only 4 players though with 2 on the bench..so i guess my point sticks?

Sky Sports opening line of their match report reads ‘Liverpool held off a late charge to beat Spurs’.

A late charge?! How is 45 fucking minutes a late charge. Totally misleading.
And no doubt Sky will wheel out ex-pros who didn’t even watch the game to trot out the ‘Why do Spurs only turn up for the 2nd half’.

And their ratings are hilarious. Royal & Bissouma both got 5. Alisson got 9 - surprising as we only had a ‘late charge’.

Rant over.

Elliot makes their match day squad but none of ours would?
I think that's stretching it a bit.

Ooft just saw you are Basildon based. Decent number of spurs here atleast. Basildon would not be a fun travel on a West Ham match day..
Yeah but I’m originally from Billericay just as bad lol. I married a Basildon girl.
I thought we were unlucky today and at least West Ham lost!.

The frustrating thing for me - apart from our jeckyll and hyde performances in the first vs second half, typically- is the fact that while have players injured, which is par for the course, they happen to be the wrong bloody players.

There's a world of difference between having Kulu, Son and Romero out vs Dyer, Emerson and Davies, for example.

C'est la vie.

Don't know what it is with us. I highlighted earlier that Pool went to utd this season, Martinez went through Salah in his first show for the ball, clattered him and Salah didn't want to known after that. But they come to our home ground and we just stand off these players and we actually encourage them to run at us. It just crazy.

Losing 3 out of 4 forwards (plus Moura) at the same time has stung hugely too. Meant a change in shape which we’re not suited to. Very unlucky in that regard.

Its tough right now. I’m hoping Kulusevski can help us kick on and get a few more results. We have missed him majorly. And pls anyone but Royal stake a place at RWB.

finally, I thought Bissouma was really good. I liked our formation we just needed more from Royal and Perisic.

Moura really needs to work on his dark arts

Lamela wins a penalty there, when Moura was ‘assaulted’ by a high boot late in the game!

I know this is going to sound weird and it might be because I was cooking for most of the second half, but I didn't walk away from this one all too angry. The first half was awful and I really debated whether or not to watch the second, but it wasn't half bad.

We pushed Liverpool back into their third of the pitch and kept them pinned back for large amounts of time. I've not really seen us do that against anyone this year. Deki came back and showed us what having a dynamic footballer on the right side of the pitch can do. Doherty picked up his understanding with the Swede almost immediately. The switches out to the advanced players were good and we caused Liverpool a lot of problems.

I know it wasn't the Liverpool of the last few years, but all the same, we dominated that second half.
