Just off a plane .
Was it the same poo poo first half , turned up second half?
First half was better but allowed Liverpool onto us far too much. 2nd half probably our best half of the season but in the hunt for goals we got countered and Liverpool had chances to kill it. Unlucky to lose overall. Still the 2nd half was far far better than the 1st despite the 1st being decent. Liverpool were there for the taking at the back but by the time we discovered it we were chasing a 2 goal deficit.

Hello Sooty :cautious:

We created one dangerous attack in the first half. At home.

We surrendered possession for the first 20 mins and let Liverpool just get in their groove while leaving their wide players in loads of space.
You carry on believing what you want. I saw a positive performance in the first half.

Conte might need multiple windows to create a title winning team, but this squad shouldn’t be this easy to play against.

Completely agree
I agree with the people needing moved out. However Conte is a master at this formation. I am sure he knows what he needs from a wingback and is choosing on merit. Royal frustrates me aswell but Doherty isn’t Hakimi so let’s all calm down.

Critique Conte' tactics all you want but you can't legislate for monumental fuck up's like Dier's.

Same with Lloris and Royal at Arsenal - these 'mistakes' are remedied not on the training pitch but in the transfer market.

Silly question but had Sess done that to TAA do you think the ref would have given a penalty. Had Lucas used high boot on Thiago do you think the ref would give a penalty. To me the answer is yes to at least one

We simply can't beat Liverpool, we just have to accept it. Liverpool and Chelsea away, don't even bother to watch it.

We’ll have a strong second half of the season. We’ll be fine, we played well today . Win the midweek cup game and beat Leeds and it’s been a good start.
Then beat some big teams second part of season, Utd, Chelsea and Arsenal at home. All doable.

The problem with complaining about time wasting is that we have done exactly the same. At least, in the dim and distant past when we actually had leads to protect.

When you are always giving teams a start and something to protect then this is what happens.
So true

I’m sorry I just don’t get this. Your biases are blinding you if you think we played negatively in the first half. We pressed them up field and it was by far our most attacking first half for quite some time.
Agreed. It was as attacking as could be with the players we had but the attacks broke down too much. It would have been a lot more noticeable with more naturally attacking players. It just felt like a few non attacking players doing their best to attack. I thought the booing was so very wrong in this game. We did try to get forward more but clearly missing the quality attackers. Losing Son was crucial too as this game was perfect for him.

These mistakes come also by the mentality and confidence coached into them...

I hate to hear the crowd booing so loudly at half time. It can't help and I imagine it really annoys AC.
Probably but after 3 years of anti possession football and the same players letting us down it’s tiring for the fans.

Im not blaming conte but when you go and watch a first half where you’re 2-0 down at half time have had just 2 shots and 35% possession against a team bang out of form it’s no wonder the fans are frustrated as it’s boring and a waste of their time, it works both ways they need something to cheer and get behind also.

Harry having a go at the fans in the stadium. Finally. Socially inept clowns that don't even recognise the negative influence they have.

Nobody fucking cares that you paid some money to be there. We all pay money to do everything, grow up.
