Our shape isn't working here. It sounds weird but I'd move Madders to the left to have more creativity wide and get Deki in the middle as a target. Werner either come off or try him from the right.

I've literally seen him stop a goal with an interception and break up the play (yet again there) before making a good forward run.

His passing and movement are very poor, yes he breaks up play occasionally or stops a goal because he’s a hardworking Sunday league defensive midfielder but it’s no coincidence that very often when he plays we lack rhythm .

It’s not just his fault today, Maddison and Bentancur and Kulu for example have been very off it but the difference is I know they’re capeable of quality often whereas Skipp has a 6-7 out of 10 level as his ceiling and often it feels like we are playing with 10 men.

I get that to the naked eye it looks like he’s been ‘ok’ or ‘solid’ but having played and coached to a paid level I just think he really effects how we play in a negative way in this system, sorry just my onions.

Id be getting PEH & Johnson on at HT, although really we are mostly missing Biss & Sarr.

Disagree mate he’s a level below and we often look like this when he plays.

Yeah I disagree with you bud, he has made some important challenges and played through Kulu with a lovely pass early on which Kulu couldn’t do anything with because of his lack of pace. He’s obviously not a starter but has been absolutely fine as a squad player this game. The issues come from the complete lack of anything from the wings. Literally Kulu has been a void and Werner has tried hard but his final ball has been appalling. Skipp has been far from the problem as the majority of our struggle has come from the lack of dynamism in the final third.

Skipp, Porro and Werner, maybe Richy been the only 3 or 4 to stand out for me. The rest have not played well at all.
