So I was watching the Roma game on some dodgy webstream thing that had a comical chat window next to it. There was the usual banter from Italians & Turks saying England are shit, weak and whatnot and I decided to make some remark about not giving too much of a shit about England and being 100% Spurs.

Following this I was attacked by some little cretin telling me to get out of his country and that it's people like me who are messing England up...but that's not the issue I want to raise. He also said that he is a die hard Spurs fan but England comes first and should come first.

The above got me thinking, do YOU really care about England? and if you do, do they even come close to Spurs?

Which comes first?

I care about England as a country, as a football team, not particularly. Spurs every time.

Tottenham 100% i will follow tottenham no matter what!!

I do watch and keep an eye on the england games at times, but the FA and who ever they normaly pick are all a bunch of muppets and they can never get a team that plays well together.

I am tottenham by heart, and england by nationality only. yes i am english befor anyone does a martass comment!

I used to go to all England home games at the old wembley but now its got harder and harder supporting England when you have players like Terry getting made captain, Cashley Cole, Lumplard etc. Spurs all the way for me, will go anywhere to see them.

I used to be England all the way. But the last few years Spurs have overtaken by miles. I support England when they play but don't care anything like i do when Spurs are playing. Until the FA has a shakeup and they stop having all these cocks in the top jobs I won't be able to take the England setup seriously.

I have been anaethetised by England's performances over the years and the apparent nonchalance to failure by all who represent our country.

When it comes to Spurs however, it hurts when it's meant to and it gives me a high on the rare occasion Spurs treat me to.

There is no comparison.

Spurs, all day long. I've never been able to sit through a whole England came, apart from when in competition. I'm better now than I used to be, but it's always Spurs first.

I'm a Spurs fan before a football fan also. I can't watch a game not featuring Spurs the whole way through without getting bored. It just doesn't feel right being a neutral fan.

How does The Goat end up as an option is most polls now?:razz:

Few years ago I think I would've said England, but now it's gotta be Spurs. Can't put into words the rollercoaster of emotions I went through listening to the CC final on the radio last season! Don't think an England game could ever make me feel like that, no matter what the situation.

I should've made this open to other nationalities.

Very ignorant of me, apologies.

Spurs, then Goat, then England.

Whenever England play during the season I just find myself hoping that none of the Spurs lads get injured.

However, this is an attitude which has taken root during the lacklustre Maclaren era - when we're doing ok I normally tune into it a bit more. So I guess you could say I'm a fairweather England fan, although the diehard Spurs fan in me has found it difficult over the years to fully get behind a team featuring the likes of Scumpbell and Cashley Cole.

And there's very little that's more annoying than the millions of plastic flags and
loose-tongued hyperbole which inevitably accompany our appearance in a major tournament. So I always find it a bit funny when we lose heroically in the quarter-finals.

It was England until the Mclaren days, and then I was just so disgusted by the performances of the national team that actually caring about it was too painful.

Also, seeing Ashley Cole celebrate anything makes me sick

Also how stupid is the friendly against Czech Republic just as the season has started!? Just have a couple days training.

I'm probably only one in a handful of people who actually fell asleep at Wembley when England were playing (against Romania).

Tottenham come before the England team for me but they're both in my heart.
