i would love to see this lineup. An Ossie lineup. Wont happen though ??

...................................Lloris.........................

Emerson...Romero....Dier.....Davies

..............Bentancur.....Hojbjerg............

..................................Kane............................

Deki.....................Richie................Perisic

Emerson and Davies focus on defending, as we have Deki and Perisic to do the job on the attacking flanks

Very likely we won’t have a game after this one, so I expect to see us at full strength
Well if Conte played full strength midweek with (what he thought would beCity three days later I believe your right.

My only big wish for the lineup is that Kulu gets a start. His performances this season does not warrant three straight games from the bench.

The City postponement gives us a chance to put out a stronger side than we would otherwise against Sporting and to take a strong hold of our group with a win:

———————Lloris
———Romero—Dier—Davies
Emerson—Hojbjerg—Bentancur—Sess
——Kulusevski—Kane—Richarlison

… with Lenglet, Perisic & Sonny ready to come back in then against Leicester.

Good line up but I think we start with Lenglet 'cause he, like our other newbies, needs as much game time as possible when the opportunity allows. And, I think with the postponement of PL games probably stretching into next week, this is that opportunity.

We're confident that Davies can do a solid job as sub if required, but Lenglet can give us more offensive threat. Wouldn't mind seeing Bissouma get a start in this game too.

As usual, football gets the brunt of this. Is the St Leger cancelled....of course not ...just moved to Sunday. Rugby matches going ahead.
The Sporting game will go ahead because it is in Portugal . If there is a shortage of police in London it shouldn’t affect us as we are in Leicester.
Are we supposed to sit in a corner with our heads down for 2 weeks.

Pretty sure the pundits at the St Leger don’t routinely throw bottles of piss at each other. The policing issues go well beyond London.

Yeah, too many heads of state and dignitaries in London next weekend for the funeral even if its on Monday.
Police will have a lot on.

They won’t be arriving until Sunday evening / Monday morning. The heads of state will fly in and out, they won’t be here all weekend, they are too busy.

I don’t see why police can’t operate a football game on a Saturday and then be in place for the funeral on Monday. Yes the operation requires planning but it won’t require actual police officers on the ground until the day of the funeral, or maybe at earliest the day before (Sunday).

Rotas for time off need amending, briefings etc I imagine it’s not as simple as just turning up on the day for a bit of crowd control.

Its called player management... PL is very intense and requires a lot, Kulu isnt a machine like Haaland or Son that can play every game. He gets tired. Beautiful management by Conte, when he came on against Marseille he was really good. And now yes, he can probably start again, after havign a decent enough rest. Player management, remember that - its not being unfair.

Not sure what you mean with your machine comment versus Haaland and Son. Dejan is the same age as Haaland but does not have his injury history and Son has now turned 30 and therefore needs to be more sensibly matched going forward, especially during this WC year.

Player management is something where the jury is currently out when it comes to Conte in my opinion. He likes to make as few changes as possible which worked well for us last season with no cup competitions at the end. The overall sentiment of the transfer window was that we've improved our squad significantly, but this hasn't really resulted in more rotation within the squad so far. The best example of this is that we were on the verge of starting Emerson Royal three times in 6 days had not the cancellations taken place this weekend.
