Fed up...so fed up with this team, mainly because of the manager.

Sit back and invite pressure, got what we deserved....against the worst team in the league.

Why do we always have a small time mentality....rarely a ruthless one.

Been obvious for a long time that we carry players in certain positions who are not really good enough if we want to improve. Dier, Hojbjerg, Davies and Lenglet (less of an issue because don't see him here next season) truth be told are squad players who are getting too much game time if we want to progress. Perisic is past his sell by date for this league but again less of an issue with Udogie arriving in the summer. Didn't think Skipp was great today but at 22 and coming back from injuries, think he needs to be given more time. Same with Sarr. Sessegnon still only 22 but just appears it's never going to happen for him at us.

For me, the club need to have an honest conversation this summer regarding the likes Dier, Hojbjerg and Davies and what they see their roles at the club. I don't want to see any of them as regular first team starters next season. These 3 are not going to get better, are not good enough to be starting on a regular basis but for me are ok as squad options for cups.

I've said before that for me Hojbjerg shouldn't be an automatic starter he's the sort of player you should have on the bench (if you had an XI of quality and aspirations of winning things) Davies the same with an eye on either moving him on (for where we are right now again from the bench I'm not mad about it but as a starter if you've aspirations then sorry he shouldn't be our go to LCB/LB)
Dier I really struggle with as for me he's far too unreliable that I'd be happy with him off the bench but I have no ill will towards him; he was one of my favourite players.
Sanchez shouldn't be with us by the time the window closes in the summer; we either need to take a bath on him or release him in best interests of all parties (I don't know if it's our valuation or that he still hasn't improved his high profile weakness' why he's not had offers)

On a human level they all seem like great guys, I'd wish Eric and Ben well if we did move them on (again I'm fine with peoples saying they're no longer good enough but I find some of the vitriol aimed at them disgusting and OTT TBH)

Of course with Hojbjerg it's been exacerbated by Bissouma really not getting a showing for multiple reasons and Bentancur's injury knackering us.

Summer needs at least two quality starting CB's (I'd argue one more on top who's maybe a bit rough around the edges but big potential) a GK, for the love of doG a creative midfielder and backup/rotation for Kulu (I quite liked Eze and Olise at Palace when we played them)

Then there's the succession planning because at some point we're going to need a Kane replacement, a Sonny replacement and Hugo.

Plus the elephant in the room that is Conte.

If DL and the board have even considered looking all that far I'd be staggered.

This season has been unbelievably shit! Thought I'd put rugby, I see no difference to Spurs. Flick channels see Lineker on beeb switch off!

It really does just show where we are mentally at the moment, to throw away a 3-1 lead against the team at the bottom of the league. Conte out for me, he has shown nothing that he can work with sub par players.

Whatever ones view on the tactics - if you can't play simple 5 and 10 yard passes around your midfield and defence without tripping over your own two feet, that's not on any coach, that's because you react poorly under the slightest hint of pressure.

yep.

He’s using that to mask his failures, all of which have nothing to do with the last 20yrs but his negative, passive approach that invites pressure rather than taking control of momentum

Time to go Antonio. Time to go. He's completely lost it.
Seems like he is deliberately trying to get a payoff for being sacked. Appears to be failing in every way but still clings to his £15 million a year charity handout

No, is because they are badly coached.

It’s a combination of Levy , Conte and the players , no one real reason . Conte has ended his tenure like I thought he would , all guns blazing , blaming everyone on the way out . The football this season has been unwatchable and the squad management awful . I’m pretty sure Jose was saying the same things before he was sacked so I don’t see much changing , the club is in a real mess , it’s just a shame we didn’t make a change a few weeks ago and could have had a manager bounce for the last 1/4 of the season but I’m thinking more 7th than 4th at the moment . Finally as much as I’m happy to see the end of Conte , I can’t have another season watching these losers next season , one thing I admire most about those scumbags down the road , they got rid of all their deadwood even if it meant giving them away , I want to see us doing the same this summer . Where we go from here ????

Ultimately, we’re still 4th (just) and didn’t lose. So here are some positives from that shit-show:

(1) Forster is proving to be a more than able deputy goalkeeper.
(2) we now have two good RWBs with complementary skills.
(3) Kulusevski and Son look to be showing signs of returning to form.
(4) Our CBs are fine as long as we don’t have a complete dud at LWB.
(5) Conte still cares enough to have a meltdown.

Build-up far too slow.
Defended too deeply
No press.
Gave them too much room.
Little continuos, joined-up play.
3·-1 up with 15 minutes to go,
pathetic to only draw with the bottom of the league.
We should either have signed Ward Prowse 2/3 yrs ago
or man marked him out of the game as he is the life and soul
of their party.

Conte has lost the plot. Blames everybody but himself. He has a total lack of dignity and respect. Very sad after the way the club has supported him during his personal problems. It will be good to see the back of him.
