I think this is the sort of game where is being boring and negative helps.

They're at home and desperate for a win so will play right into our hands.

I hope so. I saw Brentford's 2nd goal yesterday was reminiscent of a Kane to Son goal but that was in the dying seconds so more space was available. I just don't want to see a Wolves 2nd half, where we let them get on top, the crowd get well behind and all of a sudden we're facing a real uphill battle. If we see a Wolves 1st half though we should be OK, we just have no real idea of which Spurs we'll be seeing and I really hate that feeling with us right now.

Hopefully a better result than our last two away Sat 3pm's.

I work with a Saints fan, he’s not at all confident. So why am I incredibly
worried about Saturday?. lol.

Because how your friend "feels" - confidence or worry - about the match and how you (and half the rest of the match threads) "feel" will have absolutely no bearing on the performance or the result. No one really cares what fans on a website "feel" about upcoming results, but people post it anyway.

Thanks for clearing that up for us.

Well the below quotes are your thoughts on the Chelsea & the Forest game and we were at least good enough to win those games.

We’ve all moaned at Spurs in recent weeks but your moans only seem to be for moaning sake.
we are so erratic that I don't have any confidence in all games we play

A win going into the break is obviously important. Just from a psychological perspective, I feel the players will truly believe it’s possible with a win putting them 3rd. Hopefully the possibility of playing CL next season is enough of a motivator for the players to remain committed regardless of Conte staying or leaving.

As for Soton… I think this is the worst team we’ve seen from them in over 10 years. They look awful. I just hope the players don’t go in overconfident and play with no urgency. Conte has to get them fired up from the start, as an early goal against this team with low morale will likely be enough to make them cave.

Newcastle have to go to the City Ground on Friday night too, under the lights. We will hopefully see a different Forest to the one that turned up in North London last weekend.

Fingers crossed. I was thinking Forest were so shit against us, but they did hold City to a draw there so hopefully they'll be resilient if nothing else.

No fresh injuries at the moment so no reason not to go with same starting XI that started against Forest. Saints have won more points away than they have at home so no excuses in this one , if we want CL next season then three points are needed.
