He was like a rabbit caught in headlights when he played for us. Scored a couple of crackers but generally looked overwhelmed.

I do like him but he wasn't even as consistent as Chadli.

The way I look at it, Son was a "squad player" for a large part of the season. Started really taking his chances, and now is more or less a starter.

That's what Gylfi would have to look at if he came here. He will get chances, it's up to him to take them. I saw a stat on the BBC site the other day saying that Gylfi was one of the players to have covered most distance in the league this season, so that should put to bed any theories about his work-rate.

Also, it still scares the shit out of me if Eriksen was to be injured for a long period of time. It would be handy to have a player who can play with, and instead of Eriksen.

I think Poch could bring out the best in Barkley and I could see him being great for us, but Siggy is the safe choice. It's a tough one.

Not his biggest fan but I trust Poch. If he wants him, I want him.

Why should we trust him? He wanted Osvaldo and was apparatently the driving force behind Sissoko. We don't need a traditional manager structure here. Leave the coaching to him and leave the acquisitions to the transfer structure.

At first I thought RB meant a right-back lol took a few seconds to process Barkley.

I'm not asking you to trust him.

So you think our manager, who picks the team, shouldn't have a say in the players we sign?

But why would you want to give him such reign? Why would him being a successful coach means that would manifest into him being a successful manager.

Well if we don't trust Poch, who are we to trust - Levy?

Whether Poch was the driving force behind Sissoko or not, wasn't it Levy's attempt to lowball Palace for Zaha what led to us being in that situation on deadline day...

Not really, because that is not model of the modern British game and hasn't been been for decades on the continent. Poch has proved his talents as a coach but not as a scout. Given the pace of turnover of coaches very few work with their 'own' players. It is a completely date concept. I believe in having separate structures as we have done for almost 12 years now.
