Has anyone found a clip of this? There is a bit of a debate at work about this at the moment but we can only find photos of parker on the floor and none of the 'impact' itself.

Reason for the debate is some people are saying he led with his arm and therefore although he may not have gone in with intent to harm, should at least have warranted a yellow card where as others have said if he'd got a red, yes, it may have been harsh but due to the force he went in with it was a reckless gesture!

This may even start abit of a debate in here too but without seeing more clips of it, its hard to gauge more of an opinion!!

saw it during the game yesterday and at the time didn't really think it was meant at the time but saw it again on the tv this morning (skysports) and they replayed it in slow motion, i rewinded it and watched it over a good few times.
the more i see it the more intentional it gets, you can see he see's Parker albeit at the last second but he does and he raises his arm.
If you find a clip then i'd post it on here and get people to view it in slow mo a few times then i think most would agree it was intentional.

I think it was dangerous play at the least.
It looked unintentional but I don't know whether that was a con trick by Sidwell. He unnaturally raised his arm up and into Parker's face I can't think what his arm was doing there other than the obvious.

Thought it was more of an elbow strike - some proper Muay Thai right there.

It seemed unintentional, but a yellow for dangerous play may have been warranted.

Given that this went entirely unseen by the ref, surely its open to review by the FA and could be a punishable retrospectively ?

They played it on Skysports News this morning and having seen it again I felt it merits retrospective action.
Certainly it was far more intentional than the Walker handball incident that all the Fulham staff and supporters keep going on about in the media.
So extending the argument,if Walker's unintentional handball was a pen then Fulham should have been reduced to 10 men well before, when Sidwell's perpetrated his somewhat intentional elbow to the face of Parker.

I recorded it from SSN this morning, I must say that during the game I thought it was probably accidental, having now watched it over and over again I believe it was deliberate. I cannot for the life of me how Sidwell made contact with Parker's face accidentally.

Possibly the most blatant penalty I've ever seen. You can't just take a running start at someone from 10 yards and shove them over. I thought it was just inside the box, but if it's not it's surely a yellow and definitely a free-kick.

Hope not or they might get funny with us about Walker handling the ball in the area during extra time, don't think the ref saw that either *phew.

You knew what was coming when in the first couple of minutes Zamora put both his hands in the centre of BAE's back and shoved him over. The ref didn't see that one either.

Yep I also recorded it and cannot believe the ref didn't at least consult a linesman and ask if they'd seen anything. Looked unintentional at a distance at normal speed but on replay it's as blatant as it gets

Ditto the shove

AND.......does anybody remember how their player fell on the ball and clearly handled when holding off walker at the top right corner of our box in the first half. If that wasn't given then how could walker's......

I think overall the ref had a poor game. He stopped the game for a lot of very minor/niggly offences while missing all the big decisions.

Eh I don't really have a problem with it. A bit reckless, but I like that from time to time. Foul yes, card no for me.

On that topic, what is the consensus on here on that incident? Warnock after the game was taking the piss out of the ref and said that's as blatant as it gets. Personally I don't feel Walker had too much control over what happened, he dived in to block a shot with his feet and in the mellee that transpired the ball ended up in his arms, he didn't seem to control it to gain an advantage and couldn't do anything to get out of the way.

I feel a pen would have been harsh but am not sure if my Spurs tinted specs are clouding my judgement.

These.
I thought, in real time, it was totally accidental, too.

Didn't think it was one myself. What was Walker supposed to do? He put his hands down to break his fall and the ball just happened to be under him. It's not as if he threw or punched the ball away when he was on the ground or prevented it from going in. The handball the ref gave against Kaboul was harsh too.

Even if you did think it was a Walker did handle it, we should have had a penalty a minute or so earlier so I guess these things even themselves out.
