Tottenham very much signalled their intent for the future with the capture of highly-rated Luka Vuskovic from Hajduk Split in September. Coming through the system to make his professional debut for the Croatian club back in February, the 16-year-old put pen-to-paper on a contract until 2030 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Signed in a £12million deal from Hajduk, the move for Vuskovic could turn out to be quite the transfer coup as he is seen as one of the most gifted talents of his generation and has been touted as the future of Croatian football. Due to FIFA rules, Vuskovic, who stands at 6ft 4ins, will have to wait until he can arrive in England in 2025 when he is 18-years-old.

Vuskovic made 11 appearances for Hadjuk last season and then he signed for us. Yet to get off the bench since, so I'm unsure where the headline is coming from...

He's only 16 though.

Did you try reading the article?
Yes, it is a re-hash of what they wrote when we signed him. Literally almost the exact same with his comments on the move with a couple of paragraphs at the end regarding his exploits with the U-19's since then.

It's click bait and I was being sarcastic about the headline re the perfect defender. He's 16 and I'm old enough to remember Rodrigo Defendi and Milos Veljkovic being similarly lauded. I hope he is successful, but I do have this nagging worry that as he's now signed for us he may not get as much first team experience at Hadjuk as he did previously; and since we signed him he's not played any minutes for the first team.
