What happens to the £5 donation that has to be made to enter this draw?

I believe it goes towards buying the trophy which wil be presented to the winner. Anything left after that goes to the pot for the continuing upkeep of the site

5 quid a pop it better be a good trophy! Is it definitely gonna end up going back into the pot? Don't want to be paying for a new pair of glasses for Rob..

Im sure a basic trophy would cost no more than a tenner. Unless your getting a gold plated one £5 off everyone sounds hefty.

Mayeb rob does need some new glasses

For the potential prize on offer £5 of todays money is a bargin. Imagine if you are the lucky person who gets picked, you'll remember that day forever. Or, in 50-60 years time you can remember that Burger King meal you bought while you are coughing up bile. I paint the prettiest of pictures :)

And I'm sure most people on here will pay the 5 squid, will we get to see how the money gets spent??

You're mean tho Dougal, they've closed the Burger King down in Leeds for refurbishment, I'm getting serious cravings!

Probably a half decent trophy (it would be quite embarrassing handing over a £5 trophy to a professional footballer :) ) and you can see at the moment how anything that goes towards the site is spent due to the fact that it is up and running. I don't imagine this will raise much for the site anyway.

Now I want a Burger King

Last year's trophy was worth three figures and was a tasteful ornament inscribed with the appropriate adage. You do cheap - you get cheap - you are cheap.

We aint.

I like that 'we aint cheap' when it's actually everyone else paying for it haha

It's a good idea though and £5 is fine, especially if it helps with the site upkeep and keeps ads to a minimum.

As in the collective SC, not Rob's private religious journey! :)

This event represents everyone who is a member of Spurs Community.

I havent dented my chances of winning now by questioning the money? I was just intreagued thats all. To be honest it doesnt really excite me the idea of meeting players, so if I win it can I then do exactly the same thing and do a draw for a £5 entry but donate it to charity? Do people actually get that excited about meeting a few footballers?

your vote still counts if you havent coughed up a fiver, the money is just to pay for the raffle ticket for this wicked good prize, dont want a ticket, dont buy one.

people dont realise how expensive running a forum can be, we have decent sponsers that are paying for a lot of bandwith that everyone here is using for free everytime they log on here, if the left over money goes someway to enhancing your visit here then its all good in my books

finally ild be as excited as a frog can be to win and give keano a big frog hug

Bale was heading for PotY before he got injured; Woodgate has been since he came in; Steeeed gets it for the time inbetween.

However, over the whole season (and despite a couple of dodgy spells) it has to be (there's only one) Keano.

is the correct answer

Regarding the Keane Berbatov debate,

We will have real trouble replacing Berbatov, he is an exceptional world class striker and is undoubtedly the main reason we are scoring so many goals.

Keane could be improved upon with quite a few players and there are lots of his type around (unlike berbatov).

Keane is very good
Berbatov is exceptional

Incidently in the last few weeks Berbatov when playing deeper & deeper has also proved that he would easily be our best midfield player, his passing from deeper positions has been sublime.

I find it incredible that some people think that Keane or indeed anybody else that we have is more important than Berbatov. It is no coincidence that Keane's best 2 years at the club in terms of goals and ratio's have been whilst playing alongside Berbatov, if Berba leaves in the summer I believe Keane's numbers will go straight back to where they were pre Berbatov which whilst not being bad are nowhere near the same. In short playing alongside Berbatov makes Keane a much better player than he actually is and the same can be said for all of our offensive players.

didnt Robbie win Player of the year in the lasagna/blue sleeve season?
