Repped for being a bastard
Thing is £1000+ raised in 2 days is great and bodes well for getting £2500 annually, as people will be recurring donators.
im pretty impressed by the list of the lesser known sc posters danating, thats pretty ace
yup its on the left side of the page, above the user cp thingyIs this on the Front Page yet guys? It seems silly not to advertise it there. I know from experience that there are some very loyal posters on here who simply don't venture into the forums.
up the top along the control type bar there is a donations drop down (3rd left) click that then theres a list
i dunno i think we have probably hit a wall now with those of us who will donate allready have
oh well you will get another from me come pay day
To any Mods:
Right. I've made my donation now. Happy to donate again if you need a top up to reach the £2500 figure. I really think you should put an announcement in a prominent position on the front page, though. Plenty of regular users don't explore all areas of the site. I check SC practically every day and today is the first time I've picked up on this issue. Also had never noticed the 'donations' button on the toolbar - altho maybe I used it last time you asked for funds, but had forgotten. Plus, I had to trawl through lots of messages to find out what was going on, and then still had to send a message to find out how to donate. It's all too subtle and I think a lot of people would be put off donating. Put a sticky at the top of the Front Page and the Chat page, and put in a very clear explanation of how to donate. That's my suggestion anyhow.
I'm just waiting for some $ to transfer from my bank a/c to my shiny new paypal a/c so I can make a donation too. Apparantly it takes 3/5 business days and I made the transfer yesterday.
The donate using cc option didn't work for me after trying two different cards. It couldn't verify my card number both times. Could it be the donate option only works for UK based cards?
mines nz based.
