That speaks volumes about his ambition to test himself at the highest level. I can't imagine Ange would have taken that option
Can't see any reason he's gone there other than money.
Odd move to make in terms of career progression.

What a surprise. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Who could have possibly seen him being miserable in Saudi Arabia?

I mean, aside from westerners who have lived and worked there, other footballers, agents, staff at LFC, fans or random people on the street...who could have known? I bet he is just completely blindsided by this.

Wheels are coming off in Saudi quicker than I expected loads want to move including Benzema etc
Get paid a fortune but have to play in empty stadiums.
People love to say that players are driven by money these days but maybe this is showing that fans actually play a massive part in players enjoying their game.
Scoring a goal, making a fantastic save or a crunching, last ditch tackle must be sooo much better when you've got 60 thousand fans cheering it on, opposed to 3 thousand not really paying much attention.
What price can you put on the feeling that made you want to play the game in the first place?

Can't say I'm disappointed to see it start to crumble already.

These guys have probably earned 20 times our salary in six months. Do contracts not mean anything in Saudi, can players just say Nah, not for me.
