Totally agree, if only van Dijk hadn't been blocking that pass off

Sissoko could have easily played Son in, let him run on to it... there was no way Van Dijk was catching Son in a foot race.

Agreed on Toby, Lucas and Rose.

9 of the 10 OF players put in a shift. Excellent is vastly overstating it on some though. Lloris would not have been dropped and he wont be now.
Yeah, that's fair. I think in the moment, still feeling we deserved so much more, I perhaps overpraised some of the players as compensation. Put in a good shift is a better way to put it.

Sissoko could have easily played Son in, let him run on to it... there was no way Van Dijk was catching Son in a foot race.

But VVD was positioned perfectly to intercept the pass. If the ball went forward VVD would have just slid and got the ball. If anything Son should have hit the brakes and allowed a simpler pass but then he would have got tackled by the players tracking back.
