Pretty sure Tim will put an arm round Soldado, he just needs that goal. The pitch was awful though, worse than anything you'll see in the top 5/6 divisions in England.

I'd give Friedal, Paulie and Soldado 7, The rest a 6. Being generous cos of the pitch plus I'm sure any doubt the game was going to go ahead would impact 'getting up' for the game.

Some of Townsend's shots where embarrassing, ok, I get the fact that he has been out for a while and is rusty but seriously... Some of those shots.... WTF

Friedel man of the match, Paulinho and Soldado were best of the rest barring Soldados awful miss, the rest awful.

Have to mention Townsend, I know he wants to stand out, but he doesn't give a crap about passing to anyone else, apart from head down and run or shoot from 60 yards out, through 10 players etc. his last one was a disgrace, you could see the reactions from his team mates how disgusted and shocked they were.

How can Francis Gibbs 'dislike' this comment?

A buffoon I tell thee.

Kind of extraordinary that Dawson " was at fault for the goal" yet no mention of it in your appraisal of Vertonghen .

I don't find it extraordinary at all. I'd say it was par for the course. Some won't be satisfied until Dawson retires.

I really hope today shows people why Lennon still gets picked. He is simply better than Townsend. When Lamela comes back things maybe different but until then Lennon should start imo.

Soldado - 4 - fuck me no movement, offered nothing and missed an absolute sitter which ultimately cost us defeat and a lack of an away goal

Wowo_O What game were you watching? I know he missed a sitter but the bold bit is completely false.

You not like Soldado much?

Yes because his last half a dozen or so games have been akin to watching Arjen Robben marauding down the right.

Andros was poor but his first start in God knows how long on a dreadful pitch and suddenly it's bona fide proof that Lennon is the superior player?

Blimey...

"Soldado were best of the rest"

Quoted part is why.

Whys that so absurd, by me saying he was best if the rest? He was a 7 with Paulinho, nothing great but a lot better than others.

Because he's a sad fat old man, that's has a Soldado radar on 24'7 to dislike or neg rep any positive thing written about Soldado.
Never known how a fan goes so much out of his way to constantly revel in a spurs player going through a tough spell and want to fail, just so he can be proved right, embarrassing and sad.

lol clueless truly clueless but at least your actually posting rather than just your typical approach of trolling but you should have just stuck to trolling - your hard on for a woefully poor striker is embarrassing and exactly why we get laughed at by other fans. I couldn't care less what Soldado did in Spain all I care about is what he does here and to date he has been awful.

The pitch or his rustiness had nothing to do with his performance. He makes Defoe look like a selfless team player.

Not a hard on, just supporting a spurs player that's not playing well, forgive me for my sins.
Rather be laughed at for being embarrassing from other fans, who I couldn't give two shits about to be frank, than be called embarrassing from fellow supporters for wanting a player to do well in out colours and be supportive.

You carry on

That doesn't make Lennon the answer though.

Maybe not in the long term but Lamela is injured and Chadli despite his great goal against Newcastle hasn't convinced me. And besides, he does his best work cutting in from the left.
