I am sleeping the sleep of Kings tonight. Dream time !
100% spot on, we go big for Wednesday now and if we pull off another CL miracle then we play our fucking reserves vs Everton and save all the big guns for the final. TO DARE IS TO DO.The goal imo now is throw everything at Wednesday night and if we get through wrap anyone important in cotton wool for the final imo. Imagine getting an injury to Sissokko, Toby or erisen on that game to add to our other issues
I remember we were cruising before Burnley, and some numpty hmmmmm change the thread name, I know a few followed but
We got there
We maybe didn't deserve it
but we had reasons
but on the other hand
nobody else(Arsenal or Utd.)
deserved it more.
Couldn't watch
the end of the Arsenal game
went out into the garden.
Lovely day
Always liked Brighton
and Chris Hughton
and Glen Murray.
I'm burbling now.
What happens if we end up on same points and GD.
Is it head to head
or best looking Manager
or what?
Never doubted us for a moment
well perhaps one moment.
This is not a poem.
Those were good times haha
It wasnt us cruising though, it was Burnley cruising against Manure then they got two in the last couple of minutes... I mean who could have predicted that... but rest assured i cannot imagine we would let an eight goal swing happen. No way jose.
Shit sides don't tend to reach CL or indeed EL semi-finals, get 45 points from 19 games, or go on 22-match unbeaten runs. People are way too quick to do the English game an injustice. I'd argue that right now the top six PL clubs are all in the top 12 in the world (alongside the three Spanish teams, Bayern, Juve and PSG). None of them would look out of place in the CL knockout rounds, as we saw with the worst of the lot (United) knocking PSG out. We're in probably the most competitive league ever in terms of the number of top sides being in it, and despite all the problems with fatigue, injury, depth and the stadium, we're going to finish 3rd or 4th and at least reach the CL semi-final. No amount of resolve or luck will see a shit side do that - we've had both, but it's on top of our best 12 or 13 players being really, really good.
We should actually do that for the laugh. Levy wouldn’t like the fine though.
Fortunately Arsenal are more rubbish than us right now and they are away from homeLoving the optimism of the people disagreeing with this.
Lest we forget just a couple of seasons ago, we lost 5-1 on the final day of the season to a relegated Newcastle, while Arsenal won 4-0 on the same day.
A GD deficit of 8 *can* be plausibly overturned on one matchday.
Given that we’ve only picked up 10 points in 3 months as others have pointed out, and scored one goal in the league in living memory, I’m not rushing to count chickens.
Hazard will 100% want to put on a show against arsenal in a final too. Don't fancy their chances if they end up playing Chelsea, but then again, they have a knack of getting it done... The *****
I've read a lot of posts on SC and Facebook today saying we dont deserve to be where we are and we've only got top 4 because other teams have been worse.
What utter nonsense.
We earned more points than them.
You finish in the table where you deserve to.
Do you think Man City tell themselves they only won the league because everyone else was shit lol?
That doesnt mean we dont deserve it.TBF City are going to have to beat a very good Liverpool side to win the title.
I don't think saying Arsenal and Utd aren't performing well is unfair. We haven't had to be at our best to get top 4.
Lol Houghton's face. Dying to smile/laugh
They'll probably win it, Chelsea securing cl means arsenal will have the edge
But more importantly we got it, because obviously big rebuild needed and Europa footy would make attracting players harder
