No, they really can't.

Man City's 7 billion pound squad only managed to put one past Burnley at Turf Moor, and that was only by 25mm.

Stop being ridiculous.

Burnley have conceded 65 goals in the league this season, the third highest total in the division.

To suggest conceding 5 is somehow beyond them because they only conceded one to Manchester City is patently absurd.

Dunk and Duffy , two guys who just love defending

I read the match report when we played them last week. The reporters said If you threw bricks into the box, Dunk would just head them away all night.

Wow, how can Taylor give Arsenal that penalty? I mean he is literally 4 feet away staring right at it. Does he get a set of steak knives for giving the most penalties in a season?

But you're talking about the same Arsenal who have been pounded 3-0 and 3-1 away from home against teams who have finished below them in just the last two weeks. They will have just stepped off the plane from Spain.

Yes Burnley have conceded a lot of goals this season but that's partly down to their European expedition and Joe Hart starting in goal, since then they've been more like the Burnley of last season. They didn't need the points against City but were still hell-bent on stopping them from scoring.

Dyche will know that Arsenal are coming for goals, so he'll set his team up accordingly which will be to prevent the space in behind, set up with two banks of four and take them on at set-pieces not too mention it's their last home game so they'll want to sign off with a win.

If Arsenal's away form had generally been good and they were free-scoring then I may have some concerns but I can only see Burnley scrapping them. It's what Dyche and his team like to do.

Perhaps. The counterpoint is that there may be financial realities involved - we don't know how much we've lost from the stadium delay, how many corporate clients that pissed off and the impact of that, and the rent charged by Wembley. Additionally, if we stumble into 4th rather than 3rd, that costs us about £5.5m from reduced Premier League prize money and Champions League TV distributions for next season.

Regardless, I think it's ridiculous to call us "pretty shit". At the halfway stage we were on course for 90 points and in late February we were still within reach of Liverpool and City despite not having a home ground. We have some extremely good players, we just need some better depth so we can avoid injuries, fatigue and under-par backups/subtitutes, and a bit more luck in terms of the injury front and not having such huge World Cup involvement. I could see a situation where with zero net spend again we're still better on the whole if e.g. Eriksen went for £100m, we spent half that on a replacement and £50m re-enforcing CM with a couple of players.

I see you have cheered up today:whistle:

Did you not see there solid defence against Chelsea, City and even us, since the turn of the year they have been the Burnley of old, back to basics, no europa league and more importantly no Hart (Heaton is a top keeper), even if they concede 5 will still need to lose by 3 lol

I have a couple of questions.
Does anyone really believe that we won't win the Champions league now? Isn't it written in the stars?
Does anyone believe Aubamayang still thinks he made a step up when he left Dortmund?

Definately. I'm already thinking about who we will play in thay supercup thingy where the CL and EL winner play.

Leaning towards Frankfurt.

He's being daft.

Everyone else is seeing it as 99.9% job done, where as far as @freeeki is concerned it's more 50%.

No one is saying its impossible, but just to put it in perspective the odds are 200/1 for Arsenal to finish 4th. I won't even be wasting a consolation fiver on that.
