I did. It was in our hands at the beginning of the season, but it was not "always" in our hands. May be just the difference between how things are phrased in "English" vs "American English".

The whole conversation was if we win and Liverpool lose this weekend it will be in our hands.
Just a light hearted comment wasn’t meant ho be taken that seriously

All is good, most times I even take myself too seriously.

4 of our games in April are now being shown on tv, 3 of them at 1230 ?

It’s good in the ‘not having to catch up’ sense but shit if you go to the games and have to rush like a **** to get to an early kick off

I’ve just been told that the FA cup semi final is on 7 April which will obviously be played at Wembley.........where the feck are we gonna play? NWHL I hope ?

If Brighton beat Millwall in the quarters then they’ll be in the semis that day anyway.

Hopefully it’ll be put back even if Millwall win for that reason (Wembley unavailable) and that’ll give us that bit of extra time to complete what’s needed and start afresh in the new stadium.

now the next set of TV fixtures are set, the fixtures until the end of April

23/2 & 24/2 - ….1st, Spurs, - 2nd, Liverpool
27/2
- ….Spurs, Liverpool & Man C same time

2/3 & 3/3 - ….1st, Spurs, - 2nd, Man C - 3rd, Liverpool
9/3 & 10/3
- ….1st, Spurs, - 2nd, Man C - 3rd, Liverpool
16/3 & 17/3
-…. 1st, Man C - 2nd, Spurs, - 3rd, Liverpool
30/3 & 31/3
- ….1st, Man C - 2nd, Liverpool v Spurs

5/4 6/4 & 7/4 - ….1st, Liverpool - 2nd, Man C - 3rd, Spurs
13/4 & 14/4 - ….1st, Spurs, - 2nd, Man C - 3rd, Liverpool
20/4 & 21/4 - ….1st, Man C v Spurs, 3rd, Liverpool
26/27/ & 28/4 - ….1st, Liverpool - 2nd, Spurs, - 3rd, Man C

out of the next 10 sets of fixtures we play:

before Liverpool 6 times, twice at the same time including playing them, they play before us twice both times on a Friday night and if they get to the semi's of the CL, the Friday falls perfect for their 1st leg fixture

before Man C 5 times (though they don't play this set), twice at the same time including playing them.

us or Man C (including our fixture against each other) play before Liverpool 7 times and once we all play at the same time

It’s great playing first. Almost makes up for three MNFs in a row. Shame we aren’t chasing only one team in Leicester this season

Its not great if you're getting married at 2pm on 13/4 and suspect we'll be opening the new stadium for that Huddersfield game. On the one hand I've only got myself to blame. On the other hand, we were supposed to be in that new stadium in September!!

good luck with the wedding, and hope your as happy after nearly 24 yrs. I also hope we have better luck on the day, we lost 2-1 away to QPR when I got wed on 6/5/95 after taking a 1-0 lead:mad: should of known then my wife wouldn't be lucky when Spurs where playing:whistle:

Skybet have Spurs as 400/1 for the CL/PL double. Worth a cheeky flutter perhaps. £100 maybe?

If you consider a £100 stake as a cheeky flutter for something that is so unlikely to happen then you must either be doing very well for yourself or have a serious gambling problem :D.

I hate the 12:30 kick offs, but that's because I'm 8 hours behind, I'll DVR it and try to keep away from the score, if we concede I end up fast forwarding until we equalize

There is a strong possibility that by time we play Arsenal next week Sat, it could potentially be the game that puts us top. We play this weekend and City in the cup meaning a win puts us infront of them. A loss for Liveroool would put the table like this.

1. City 65
2. Liverpool 65
3. Spurs 63

Midweek games -

Chelsea v Spurs - Spurs win
Liverpool v Watford - Pool win
City v westham - City win

Table
1. City 68
2. Liverpool 68
3. Spurs 66

Next game is us against Arsenal Saturday 12.30 with a chance to go top :( scary thought. I know all ifs and buts etc, but a strong possibility this could happen and I hate playing those bastards Arsenal with something like that riding on it.

Lets not get too carried away. I have lost count of the times we are "just a few wins" short of something only to lose the next "winnable" match. Burnley aren't push overs by any stretch of the imagination.

Poch saying yesterday that today is a massive game, like a final, and he’s been trying to intimate that to the players after 10 days off. It’s easy to get up for arsenal and Chelsea coming up but games like today are really important. Hopefully it’s worked!

I think we'll lose to Burnley this weekend, purely on the basis of the prevailing mood in this thread. Or we'll win at Burnley but Liverpool will also win at Old Trafford.

As soon as people start planning out specific results in a bunch of future fixtures that ends up with us winning the league - like we're setting up the Rube Goldberg machine in that Mousetrap board game - something comes along to throw a spanner in the works. How often did that Mousetrap mechanism break down somewhere along the way before the final trap could be sprung? Every time, motherfuckers. Fucking Mousetrap. :grumpy:
