To be fair it was always in our hands, all we had to do was win 38 games in a row from August onwards. Spurs bottled it again
Except it is not in our hands now. We could win out and still finish second if Liverpool only drops points against (or also has a draw and maintains a higher goal difference).

4 of our games in April are now being shown on tv, 3 of them at 1230 ?

It’s good in the ‘not having to catch up’ sense but shit if you go to the games and have to rush like a **** to get to an early kick off

What's wrong with that? I suppose if you're going Manchester, sure it's early, but that means not a late night back. I actually prefer to be the first game of the weekend, win and it puts pressure on those around us. Much better than the Leicester year when we had three Monday night games in a row playing catch up.

I find enjoyment in other things. Thankfully we don't lose much these days anyway.

Its not great if you're getting married at 2pm on 13/4 and suspect we'll be opening the new stadium for that Huddersfield game. On the one hand I've only got myself to blame. On the other hand, we were supposed to be in that new stadium in September!!

Congrats, but I'm sorry the FA and Tottenham Hotspur cannot arrange their fixtures because one fan is getting married. If that was the case, no games would be played on any Saturday throughout the year. :sneaky:

What’s wrong is traffic. I’m on my way up for the game tomorrow. I left Kent at over five hours ago and I haven’t even reached Stoke. Looks like City will be another overnight trip

I always expected us to be playing on the Saturday (Huddersfield at home isn't at attractive fixture for broadcasters usually) but I'm more annoyed that it looks like that could well be the first game in the new stadium. Thats just bad luck for me personally. Ho hum.

I'm sure my Gooner best man will make some comment on it during the speech if that is indeed how things play out. On the other hand my worry was always that guests would be distracted by Liverpool v Chelsea at some point that day (lots of Liverpool fans in the family), but thats been moved to the Sunday and nobody at my wedding is going to give a shit about Utd v West Ham so small mercies etc.

When you think you have the upper hand having x3 12.30 KO. Then see Liverpool have x2 Friday night ?

I'm in same boat as you, out the country that weekend and so I'm really desperate for Brighton first game.

Fair play to sky for making sure they cover all bases for our first game in the new stadium. I’m sure Spurs V Huddersfield didn’t have to be shown in that round of fixtures.

Yep that’s why I said it’s good in the ‘not having to play catch up’ sense.

But practically, it makes things harder for me and for pretty much everyone I know, whether it’s family, kids, traffic, work, being knackered etc. I can’t speak for the whole fan base obviously but I just happen to hate 1230 kick offs. It’s different if I’m not going to the game, then I don’t mind them.

I'm sure if we had the Friday night slot, then the PL and Sky would introduce a new "Thursday night Champions Elect run in special" slot :)
