Purse ban overturned for FA Cup Final

Cardiff defender Darren Purse has had his 3 match ban overturned for a challenge on Andy Cole so he can play in the cup final.

Did anyone see the challenge? It left Cole needing 10 stitches in his leg and Purse got a straight red.

I thought to get a red card overturned it had to be clear that the challenge wasn't even worthy of a yellow card.

Seems a little as if the welsh FA is looking after its own on this one.

It was a debatable straight red, never one to be overturned, 10 times worse than Keane's against Brum anyway. Shouldn't have been rescinded, FA cup final or no FA cup final.

Find it very weird that the Welsh FA can decide over suspension matters that happens in an English league....
