That’s right, I’d forgotten that stuff. That was proper weird - way more than some of the Klopp cultists. There’s probably loads of odd shit lurking (usually is on SC) in the Liverpool thread.

I mean I can understand them loving Klopp, he’s great and has delivered the results. Rodgers team bottled it and then fell apart, the idolisation was surreal, and premature.

He was very smug when Liverpool manager, and the Liverpool fans didn’t help the situation either with all their weird Shankly memes looking down on him from heaven etc.

I think he cheated on his Mrs as well, became a champagne Charlie, all lairy.

Leicester top? West Ham only 2 points below Liverpool?

Covid has really made things fucky.

He had an unnecessary dig at us when we spent all that money saying "you spend all that money and you should be winning the league' and that got a lot of people's backs up because he came across as this all 'high and mighty' character just because Liverpool were doing well at the time. The following season Liverpool did exactly the same thing and struggled to which people rightly mocked him for it. People enjoyed the fall because he'd shown no graciousness at the time. Liverpool were doing well that season and he had no need to take a knock at us. I also think it's unfair to do that to a fellow coach.

There's the Liverpool documentary that he did in which it was all a bit 'Partridge' and made him look like a bit of a prat. I mean "My biggest mentor I'd have to say is, myself' really meant that people just wanted to see him fail.

He does come across as a very smarmy character and a bit of a snake. I mean when he was at Liverpool he stole someone's wife and dumped his at the same time, got his teeth whitened and just came across as dislikable really.
Ah now I remember some of it. Thanks for the reminder. As much as Klopp is a bit weird at times and very annoying he also seems to have a nice personality and sympathy outside the football bubble.

City, Liverpool, United and Leicester all really good teams, and that's before you consider Southampton, Everton, a resurgent Arsenal etc. Top 4 alone is going to be really tough this year.

Ill also add that when he said that he came across as a typical Liverpool fan.

I'm sure you've all had a debate with a scouse idiot, only for them to act as if they are the oracle of football advice when it doesn't concern them.

top 4 certainly going to be a tough ask for us. City, Utd, Leicester all looking good. Liverpool will surely get better. then we have to contend with the likes of Everton and Spam amongst others. We could probably end up anywhere between 1st and 10th the way this season is going!
