Leicester under Rodgers remind me of us in 2015-17. Their first XI has so much quality and is a great mix of youth and experience. Mind you I hate their guts.

Leicester are much better than them. Could be a fairly easy win for them.

West Ham are only a point behind us know. I havee been looking up and not down, but how the hell did that happen!?!?
They have a small squad and not had many injuries if they do it could come tumbling down

In fairness, ndidi, soyuncu, and pereira have all been injured for long spells this season. Maddison was injured for a short while too. On the whole I do agree with you about the depth though. James Justin has become a top full back in pereiras absence, and fofana has been a great signing in the center of defence. But they do lack the depth of the top clubs.

Edit: I think u we’re talking about west ham, my bad

They've had to deal with injuries to Maddison and Ndidi to be fair, two very important players but I think they'd really suffer without Vardy. Then again, our level of play would probably drop off in the same manner if not more with an injury to just Kane.

Looks like we'll need to stay within 3 points from Leicester by the closing day of the season (two if they have a much better GD) AND stay ahead of Chelsea, Everton, Villa etc, for top four as a minimum target.
Pretty tough, but doable. Leicester are very good. Extremely well drilled, unlikeable as Rodgers is. Not sure they'll collapse again like they did last season. Hopefully Europa will help derail them (and then we win it).

Defensive injuries killed them towards the end of the season. I rate Rodgers, at worst they’ll at least be challenging for top 4 imo

Must have missed something but why is Rodgers disliked by plenty of fanbases? I think he’s a good manager to be fair.

Rodgers:
  1. Strange, smarmy, creepy
  2. See 1
  3. See 1
  4. I think he might have suggested earlier on in his career that he wouldn’t want to manage us. If I’m wrong on that then...see 1.

I think that most rate him as a manager, but have some issues with his personality.

Okay, thanks. I saw his post match conversation with Poch when Mauricio was a guest pundit at a MNF when Leicester played someone I can’t remember. He came across as pretty decent then.

He’s a decent manager - I don’t think many fans will criticise that. He’s just been very odd over the years... especially during his time at Liverpool. There was a reality tv - all or nothing - type show during his time there - bit weird.

He had an unnecessary dig at us when we spent all that money saying "you spend all that money and you should be winning the league' and that got a lot of people's backs up because he came across as this all 'high and mighty' character just because Liverpool were doing well at the time. The following season Liverpool did exactly the same thing and struggled to which people rightly mocked him for it. People enjoyed the fall because he'd shown no graciousness at the time. Liverpool were doing well that season and he had no need to take a knock at us. I also think it's unfair to do that to a fellow coach.

There's the Liverpool documentary that he did in which it was all a bit 'Partridge' and made him look like a bit of a prat. I mean "My biggest mentor I'd have to say is, myself' really meant that people just wanted to see him fail.

He does come across as a very smarmy character and a bit of a snake. I mean when he was at Liverpool he stole someone's wife and dumped his at the same time, got his teeth whitened and just came across as dislikable really.

He was very smug when Liverpool manager, and the Liverpool fans didn’t help the situation either with all their weird Shankly memes looking down on him from heaven etc.

That’s right, I’d forgotten that stuff. That was proper weird - way more than some of the Klopp cultists. There’s probably loads of odd shit lurking (usually is on SC) in the Liverpool thread.
