Honestly, and no disrespect, but it's a dumb question. They're barely comparable at this point. The idea that we're in a situation where we have to choose between them is absurd too. We have no idea how Pritchard will fare in the starting 11 in the Premier League. Have him play 15 games and then we'd be in a position to answer the question.

THIS.

Pritchard has never played in the prem so you can't even make a comparison.

I suspect Pritchard will have pre season games with us, possibly even on the early Europa qualifying rounds if necessary and then go on a six month loan to a löwer Prem team. Someone like Derby or Norwich if promoted.

I like Townsend and would really like to see him come good and add to Kane, Bentaleb and Mason as a fixture in the team.

I do feel he should be given a run on the left though to see what he can do as reckon he would be more effective on his natural side and could whip balls into the box for Kane.

Inverted wingers suck dong.

Can Pritchard play on the right?

When Townsend cut across the pitch against Poland and smacked an unbelievable shot against the crossbar I felt for sure that we had found the next bale and it was only a matter of time before he was tearing it up.

Sad that it hasn't happened.

Depay. Only ever seen him on FM15. He's an absolute monster and if you save and reload a couple of times you can do the double! Do it Levy you know it makes sense.

I think Townsend is a bit short of the quality we need and we should be looking to sell him in the summer - £10 million would be excellent business, and he'll do better at a lesser club where he'll be the main man.

Pritchard will be back at Spurs next season, he'll get game time and it's up to him to take his chance.

Inverted wingers can be fantastic if used appropriately. Problem is, we smash ours up against the opposition back line in a congested system and therefore eliminate their real estate to acquire momentum to be able to do anything, and it's further exacerbated by the fact that our wingers cannot create their own space because they aren't dribblers.

Crosses are also less effective in this system because you've pushed back the opposition into their half, thus more numbers in the box, and consequently more difficult to find a player in space. They're also more likely to concede possession and expose you to the high press' bane: the counterattack.

That having been said, I'd like to see Townsend or Rose see some time on the left to see if they can stretch things out for us a bit. Way too congested.

Pritch should not play on the right, trying to get to the byline to supply crosses would be an absolute waste of his talents. He has the quick feet to make his own space, and the quick mind to pull strings. It would be like playing Hazard on the right, which would be a criminal waste of his skillset.

Townsend really should be given a chance from the left.

It's difficult to exclude Chadli as he at least produces the occasional goal, but he just provides nothing else which a winger should. No stretch, not many crosses, no disorganization with a dribbling ability in tight spaces, no creativity, no ranges shooting ability (doesn't shoot enough, which I think is a shame), etc. He's a fantastic finisher in the box, but that's about all he offers from the flank (should be moved to striker). Would like to see Lamela reintroduced on the right against Burnley, and one of Townsend or Rose on the left.

Both.
If Townsend fails to be the player we all think he could be, imo Andros would still a good squad impact player we should keep.

Lloris

Walker
Dier
Veljkovic
Rose

Bentaleb
Mason

Pritchard
Lamela
Eriksen

Kane

I think Veljkovic could be the answer at the back.

Sell
Kaboul
Capoue
Adebayor
Soldado
Lennon
Chiriches

Don't mind going for better.
Vertonghen
Dembele

Not sure nevertheless
Holtby
Paulinho

Buys.
De Brunyne
Barehino
Wilmmer
Rodriguez -if he comes we could let Chadli go plus he'd double up as CF.

Lloris
Vorm

Walker
Yedlin/Fredricks

Rose
Davies

Fazio
Dier
Veljkovic
Wilmmer

Bentaleb
Mason
Stambouli
Carroll

Pritchard
Lamela
Eriksen
Alli
Townsend
De Brunyne

Kane
Barehino
Rodriguez

Austin would be cheaper than Barehino and less of an attitude problem. That midfield still looks a bit light weight and tbh so does the attacking mid. I think Pritchard might be good back up but he will not be first choice yet. Rodriguez hasn't played for a year now and still isn't back.

Love to see us go for.
Depay
Schniderlin
Austin

Others depending on who goes out and how well the others do in pre season. Would like Alli to get a premiership loan next season.

Barehino imo has more potential more pace has played with Kane before, both had a good understanding for England... Yes more expensive but better.

Pritchard has played a whole season ( at the top) Championship level, not to be taken lightly it's a tough league. If Pochettinho can introduce him gradually he has brilliant skillsets assist goals free kicks decent pace workrate that will benefit the team.

Personally I feel Lamela is robust enough with Kane. Bentaleb Mason will get more street wise with games.

Tbh I'm more concerned at cb it might be we play Fazio in certain games and adjust the set up so that he's not chasing back so often. Veljkovic I really like what I've seen, he is competitive imo a leader.

Think we'll see a lot more from Dier next year. Very young and doing well for his first season in the premiership. Maybe even have Alderweld (will learn to spell his name if we sign him).

Agree.
Dier has something about him and is learning I think Pochettinho has missed a trick not putting Dier with Fazio who imo has better defensive attributes than Vertonghe, it's just unfortunate Dier has been partnered with Vertonghen yes damning I just don't rate Jv as a CB.
