I'm sorry, but judging by some posts/threads this morning some people obviosuly watch games through blinkers. The poll is simple, Did Dawson have a good game last night...yes or no.

I for one thought he had a fantastic game, especially in the second half.

No-one had a good game in the first half but Daws looked great in the second. Sky gave him Man of the Match. When we were looking really shaken after first goal the lads were walking disconsolately back to half way line - Daws started clapping and jeeing everyone up. Woodgate looked over, saw what Daws was doing and then followed suit. I can see why they like having Dawson around - I'm sure he's a good influence in the dressing room too.

Apart from a couple of skewed clearances he was great last night. And seeing as he scored how could you say he had a bad game?

He was immense. Ive always said he was a John Terry like defender. Full of passion and will throw himself in front of anything. He went off the rails for a bit, but I've always been a fan.

Cant believe some people in the other thread saying that the goal was his fault. Clearly it was Bentleys fault.

And Yes, Daws had a great game.

Well to be fair, everyone was shit in the first half. Dawson was a damn sight better than a lot of them though. Second half though, he was immense!

I think Jamie O'Hara was our best player in both halves.

Dawson was very good last night, was a great moment where he and Woody had a go at each other and told each other where they should be. We need more of that from both of them.

They went in at half time with tails between their legs, they came out as leaders of men - an awesome duo, again showing that if you put Dawson next to anyone apart from Kaboul he's good.

He is without a shadow of a doubt our best attacking header and our best defensive header of a ball.
Thats pretty important for a team like ours with very few ball winners in the air!

I'm not sure about that, in the first half, I thought Alnwick, Gunter, Taarabt, Boeteng, Giovani and Rocha all had a shout.

The people who think differently are in fact not thinking at all and are either an embarrassment or are busy feeding their guide dog.

Daws may have had some involvement in burnleys goal but it was primarily Bale for allowing eagles the space to cross. And at least Daws more than made up for any mistake.

Other embarrassments:

Against wigan, Zoko was one of the candidates for MOTM. His distribution and break-up play was excellent yet some idiots were saying he was rubbish.

We've had people saying Modric cannot play in a 4-4-2 despite him playing in one for Croatia. We've had people saying Gomes should be got rid of just after he came. We've had people saying PL rules state Defoe cannot re-sign for us in this window and that is gospel.

We had utter spastics booing Ghaly the other day.

We even once had a thread here entitled 'Robbie Keane, is he good enough for us'.

I love Spurs as much as any hardcore fan but sometimes the fucktards amongst us make me embarrased when they put themselves in the same pigeon-hole as me and call themselves a supporter.

So today it's Dawson who has to be defended despite a good performance, who's turn for the idiots unfair criticism next week?

I'm not really a big Daws fan, but he was excellent last night bar a few pointless punts up field.

Tried to REP you, but the site is being lame. Great post. It's so true. I can understand gut reactions and instinctual posts, but some people are on another planet.

To be honest, you deserve rep just for using the word "fucktard"

I thought he had a great game (I missed most of the 1st half luckily).

However when the Burnley player got through on goal, when we were 2-1 up I think, he was at fault for that, he got caught out. But that happens and luckily Gomes did enough to put the player off, other then that he had a fantastic game. Best of have seen from him for a while, Zokora was very good too. Harry does get the African’s playing well.

Daws was poor last season but he's been much better of late. I'm really pleased for him. I think some people know his flaws and watch for every little mistake over 90 minutes. Certainly everyone has their favourites but some people have players they will never ever like. I prefer to look for the positive things and hope Harry will iron out the negative things; and thus remove consistently poor performers from the team.

The sniping at the Lane is getting worse too - I've really noticed it in the last month or two.

Bale you're shit, fuck off - after one pass in the 3rd minute of the game, that Bentley should have come towards anyway.

Daws you useless ****, do something - after he'd just won a big header in a tricky situation, again about 10 minutes in.

Pav, you're weak, hold the fucking ball up - he then proceeded to hold off two men and find Campbell in space.

Bale, you're a ****.

Bentley you flash ****, fuck off back to Blackburn.

Bentley you Gooner ****, fuck off.

Woodgate, win that you fat fuck, you're so slow

Like I say, all this within the first 15 minutes. Sorry to hijack the thread a tad, but some peope need to shut the fuck up and sing a bit more.
