I want this Ndombele signing to happen so bad. I think he’s the player to take us to the next level. A great presence deeper in the midfield who can unlock defenses with his dribbling and passing. He would give Eriksen and Dele more freedom as they would have less responsibility and not feel an obligation to come deep to get the ball so much. And I don’t even want to imagine him finding Son, Lucas, Kane and Dele making runs in behind the defense until he actually signs because it would make parking the bus against us very difficult.

Yes we are too slow bringing the ball up with death by the Park Bussers because we are not direct enough, when Ndombele goes forward he is more direct as he has the power and ball talent to make things happen. The AMs and wingers and Kane should all see the benefit of it.Whats that worth? Its huge

I made the mistake of watching the video a few pages back, and now I'll be beyond gutted if we don't sign him. He looks CLASS.

He looks exactly what we need, which is great.

Him and GLC will transform us, plus if CE signs a new contract! We will be cooking.

Yeah, he seems like he is at least a more technical Sissoko like player in that he can drive the ball forward and make a killer pass. We have creative and clinical players, but they’re all best playing further up the field. Ndombele would provide a positive influence deeper in the midfield which is something that we’re desperately lacking. Not to mention that we just need more bodies in the midfield.

So tier 1 Romeo Agresti reporting that Juventus wants to sign De Ligt despite a price tag of €70 M and wage demands of €15 M/season net. Already having the likes of Ronaldo in the squad, as well as paying players such as Ramsay absurd wages how could they possibly go for Ndombele as well? We're bigger than Juventus financially ffs. Just get it done and move on to the next target.

Are we bigger than Juve financially though?

Yes he is talented and tough (Sissoko+Dembele+Some end product). He can play DM as he has been,is a box to box as well andI think looks like he will get the ball up quickly when space is available before the defences get set. Its a win win win but its Levy has to really look outside of his limited box

Levy is a conservative businessman but he did spend the Bale money in a hurry. He is looking to get the Eriksen thing done I think and this NDombele is a Poch pick for sure...he has to get it done, Its the resolve that Levy has for this or not,its not the money itself they have money what 14th richest club in the world.

That's mostly due to the, frankly absurd, increase in our turnover over the last few years.

Prior to the stadium project starting in earnest we maintained a ratio around 55% I think (it might have been around 60%) and I expect us to head back towards that now. It's always been wages that are the deciding factor in a transfer and Levy's drive to increase turnover (via the new ground) has always been about allowing the club to compete sustainably on that front.

Contrary to popular belief, he's never been afraid to shell out in terms of transfer fees, but competition on wages has seen us miss out on players in the past. The thing I suspect he has beef with now is the fees agents are demanding for doing fuck all other than look for the biggest payday they can get.
You know Spurs release their financial results so there is no real need to guess, right? The last three years have been 48, 41, and 38% respectively. Feel free to look at the results https://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/the-club/investor-relations/annual-reports/ but really there is no need to speculate. All in black in white.

Its all about how important Poch thinks that NDombele is. And if he is pressuring Levy enough. Losing Poch would be a disaster.Thats a hefty card for Poch to play. For what another 10-15 mil? At that point yo got to go and get it or start again with no wife and a beautiful house

If it’s just us vs Juventus, I am incredibly confident.

As already mentioned in here, they currently have 6 senior CMs and that’s before any young talents they have out on loan or in the wings like Matheus Pereira and Portanova. It’s also not their transfer MO, they normally do cheap/no fee and high wages, not high wages and high fee. Their rumoured interest in Rabiot is more in line with that. To do high fee and high wage twice (De Ligt and then Ndombele) does not make sense at all. My suspicion is that they plan to get De Ligt and then help offset that by getting Rabiot on a free.

Hopefully all the stars align on this in the coming week.

The Lyon president is a very cagey guy. In Mid May he apparently asked PSG to make a bid for NDombele knowng we were already talking about him.

I am fully aware of that and was not disputing what you said. Read my post again. My "guessing" of 55-60% before the stadium project started in earnest was based on those very results released in years gone by - I just couldn't be bothered to go back and check them again having done so in the past. That sort of ratio was maintained long enough for it to be reasonably deduced that it was considered to be the club's normal way of working, hence I expect the ratio to start increasing again now (i.e. big new signings will come in on very competitive salaries and the likes of Kane, Dele, Son etc. will get new contracts accordingly).

I’d say if Juve are seriously interested it would be there 2nd choice if they can’t get Pogba.

It seems remarkable how Juve can afford this. They went down the self financing route back in 2016 according to Andrea Agnelli. Even with that turnover their activity will result in some heavy self financing for transfers. Surely their deals with Adidas and Jeep wouldnt be superior to ours? Must be the consistent CL appearences.
