It’s all bullshit . I would chop off my right arm to play for spurs. I hate all this money in football. I’m going to take up bowles

Apologies, just the 30+ people that agreed he wasn’t good enough.

Stop being childish. Thinking Dier is not good enough in his football ability to start for Spurs isn't hating him. I don't hate Mason but I don't think he was good enough to play for a team fighting to win PL title.
Sissoko was hated by many as he got over the top abuse all the time. Zokora was hated by many as he received over the top abuse all the time and some even wished bodily harm on him. Dier hated by many is an absolute joke.

This is taking too long. We need a DOF. Baldini was the nuts in getting transfers done. Baldini maximised his extensive contact list to bring Eriksen, Lamela etc to Spurs. He was a deal maker. Levy just seems to fuck around.

He had a season with moaninhio messing with his head (as he does) followed by a injury plagued one.
I'm hoping we are going to see a fully focused dier this season fighting fit and raring to go with a point to prove.
Not sure everyone hates him on here.
Thing is, Dier will always be hated by some fans, because some fans simply don't understand the role he plays. Same was seen with Carrick.

He didn't have a good season, but he is a much better player than people realize. If he were to leave he would be quickly picked up by another top 6 club or international side of similar stature. For very good reason, there really arn't too many decent holding players around in the PL at the minute. Dier is a fine example of one, despite his faults.

Ndombele, is a player who is essentially competing with Sissoko's spot or Dembele's old spot. Were we to sign him our midfield would look like this

Holding midfielders: Winks, Dier, Wanayama, Skipp

Box-to-Box/ball winning midfielders: Ndombele, Sissoko, Winks

I personally would like to see Winks with more license to roam around the pitch, so I do feel we could do with another midfielder.

On Ndombele, I hope fans keep in mind he is far from the finished article and may take some time to bed in were we to get him. The way people are talking about him makes it seem bizarre why, say, a Barca or a Real Madrid are not seriously in for him. His reputation is no more than Kieta's was before coming to Liverpool. I hope, and believe ,if he comes, that he will be a big success but I hope we can be patient with him.

Baldini is a national joke in Italy. Getting on with the right people seems to be the basis of his whole career. Has contacts but can't spot talent and has one of those bad habits of teams doing much better without him than with him. He works well with Cappello, but outside of that relationship his CV reads very poorly.

The only DOF that ever worked well for us was Frank Arnesen and we have done much better without DOF's than with them. We signed plenty of players under Redknapp for example, or even earlier under Pochettino. The problem is the new market.

For what its worth, the season which Baldini bought all these players, not a single one of them was signed before July, and in fact the two examples you gave were signed on the 30th August. Its still early days, everyone is on holiday, which slows things down, and we have plenty of time before preseason starts.
