Sessegnon with confidence would be an absolute beast.

Sadly it's becoming increasingly doubtful he will ever be a confident player. He just looks scared of making mistakes and overthinks every aspect of his game.

Udogie arrives in the summer, decent offer for Ryan and he’s gone. Conte has stuck with him, given him a fair chance but, as we are all aware he is like a rabbit in the headlights.
Fulham might come back for him.
Udogie is a bit of a monster. Will fit in well.

Realistically his best chance is as an orthodox left back. He's not a bad defender. But he can't cross a ball to save his life and is extremely poor in one on one attacking situations so would be better arriving from deeper. I've still seen nothing to suggest he's going to make it at Tottenham.

Agree with the consensus here. I really thought he was going to be a top player when we signed him, that he'd be a Gareth Bale-type youngster. But what he lacks more than anything else is confidence, and that is holding him back. Previous managers didn't give him enough of a chance and I held onto that hope. Perhaps they damaged him a bit. But ultimately it's he who has to overcome that. Under Conte, Sess's been given the chance, which is real credit to Conte. But sadly, I don't think much has changed. I think it'd be best for him and us if we moved him on. I just don't see what he adds at the moment and, despite him being incredibly frustrating and lacking in end product, I think right now Reguilion would be doing a better job.

He's not really good enough for what we're trying to do right now, but I still think he's a more than able deputy and at 22 still has tons time to improve.

I think if he can get his head right and truly back himself in the final third, he could still make a big step up. He's so often one touch, move or decision away from doing some very good stuff - just needs it to click. Think we'd be wise to tie him down to another contract and keep him at the club. At the very least this will preserve his value.

Hopefully Udogie comes in and makes that position his own next season, though.

If you view him as a decent home grown squad player then you can see his value to the squad and why we will likely keep him around. If you view him as a regular starter then he has a lot of improving to do to really get to where he needs to be.

I actually thought he did ok today. I can see the improvement. He needs more of those well timed runs in behind and TAA was lucky not to give away penalty.
I'm really interested to see what he does in a team that's clicking
It's his 4th season now and we still cling on to these same glimmers of improvement. He still hasn't put together a string of good 90 minute performances this season. It's the odd solid game or moments within a match.

It says a lot that when discussing Ben Chillwell's replacement people want to play Trippier or Saka out of position, and more people are suggesting Justin and Mitchell for the role than Sess despite having played for the u21s for about 10 years.

Can only put it down to lack of confidence that he didn’t smash that chance into the far corner instead of trying to cut back into his weaker right foot and get tackled. Don’t know what he’s thinking some times or maybe he’s over thinking but a confident player instinctively would’ve gone for the shot.

Starting to think he's never gonna make it as a starter here. On paper he has the necessary attributes but struggles to assert himself in the final third. He's never able to create seperation with his opposing defender from a standing start which is a problem as he rarely takes passes in his stride first time and utilises momentum. His end product is also largely poor. He's fine defensively but its not enough.

Absolutely awful player. Really thought he could take his chance this season and push on, but the more you see him the worse he gets

I think this guy is seriously fortunate that Emerson's shortcomings are so glaringly noticeable as it's taken a lot of attention away from his poor performances.

If I was Paratici, I'd be offering Udinese an extra few million to try to bring in Udogie 6 months early.

And if that's not possible get another player in. This guy wont ever be good enough so no point persisting.
