biggest weaknesses of this kid is his mentality always seems so timid, Ive seen the crowds of Brenford effect him, he stood no chance in the cauldron of the velodrome

Whilst he wasn’t helped by being played out of position, he just looked scared last night and it’s not the first time that’s happened.
Really needs to mature and strengthen mentally otherwise I just don’t see a future for him long term.

Needs to toughen up. Got brushed off the ball too easily last night, very similar to recent Newcastle goal. Don't know whether it's a self preservation thing, but he needs to put it on the line when necessary.

He seems like a lad weighted down by expectation. I think I've seen enough of him now to say he is going to struggle mentally at the very pinnacle. He'll still have a great football career, but I don't see it being with us in the long term.

Didn’t everyone look scared in the first half

He was very poor last night but we have to recognise that for a lot of the match he was being played out of position. Having said that, although he is improving and getting stronger, he still has a lot of improvement to do to make a long term career for himself at Spurs. I think he can do it but the problem he and we have is that we probably can't wait for it to happen.

He was unfortunately the worst of a bad bunch in that first half

Didn’t help playing out of position but as others have said, his mentality is poor. It’s every time he’s under a bit of pressure he buckles big time

He is no more impactful than Emerson.

He looked absolutely lost on the right last night. Should only be played there when we're absolutely bossing a game like in the 2nd half vs Bournemouth and need a more attacking option. Neither him nor Perisic look up to it on that side unfortunately.

He’s got two goals in less minutes this year compared with Emerson’s zero so that’s not really true. Neither are the answer though.

I like the kid but let’s be honest, his mentality is as weak as it comes and I don’t think he has the belief to be successful at a top club. I would be looking to cash in for sure - he’s seriously upgradable

Agreed. He’s fine agsinst the bottom sides but he’s never going to be good enough for champions league etc.

I’m concerned that he won’t ever fulfil his early potential from his Fulham days. It’s like he doesn’t have any belief in his own ability.

That driving run and touch was excellent, but then his instinct should have been to hit it with his strong foot, yet he attempted to cut back and the chance was gone.

Seems such a decent guy and I want it to work out for him, but I never expect him to hurt the opposition. It’s always hope.

I actually thought he did ok today. I can see the improvement. He needs more of those well timed runs in behind and TAA was lucky not to give away penalty.
I'm really interested to see what he does in a team that's clicking

With Perisic and Udogie next year, I don't see the need to sell or upgrade. Its the right and other areas that need urgent care.

However, he needs to improve so much more. There are little signs but at the same time, it needs to be more.

If Udogie comes in and hits the ground running, he'll find it hard to get back in

I’m convinced he’s not gonna make it with us despite him being “relatively young and can still improve”.

My worry is that Conte will take a year to select Udogie because he doesn't know the system
