I think it would be negligent to miss out on Richarlison, Jesus and Raphinha three premier league proven attackers.. £50m is now the starting price when you consider what Liverpool paid for Nunez and what Chelsea paid for Lukaku last year..

Richarlison is perfect for us.. if Kane is out we move Son to centre and play Richarlison left or we just put him up the middle... if Son or Kulu is out he just slots in their position.. He can also play as a lone striker pressing from the front and running in behind.. he could play off Kane in a two.. he works hard and defends from the front.. I am ot saying he is a better no.9 than Jesus or better Winger than Antony or Raphinha but he has more attributes and is a butter option for Spurs as he ticks more boxes..

I know, its crazy how pessimistic some people are.

I trust in Conte and Paratici. These deals have a lot of moving parts and we could be waiting for outgoings to be confirmed before we pull the triggers on some. It could be a big domino effect.
Yes... and we are only in June ?? ?‍♂️ ... we've signed 3 already... come on... best start to a window ever.

think some of the probably premature anxiety comes from the greater risk attached to importing talent compared to buying it with solid prem experience- like Bissouma. All three Brazilians are oven-ready. It would be fairer if we got one each!

i honestly can’t believe what i’m seeing. we’ve had 3 signings, 2 of them slotting straight into the first team, and the windows been open for less than 14 days!!

i was always one to be negative in the past, but i honestly cannot fathom how people are this negative already. was it the constant stream of signings that made everyone spoiled? is it expected that we have a new player literally every week?

people need to take a step back and enjoy what’s happening without worrying about every little detail.

Negligent is a bit harsh in my opinion, considering what we have been led to believe about the various negotiations and moving parts that are involved. Unless you are privy to information that we aren't, your statement seems a bit presumptuous where these players are concerned. I am sure that negotiating team with the know how and experience are doing their best for the club. With regards to Liverpool, unless you have been following their transfer activities, how do you know how long and uncomplicated it was to get their signings?

For us it's probably less important since our first 3 are already one of the best attack in the league. I don't worry about who Arsenal or even Chelsea get. I'm confident our first choice attack will be better than any those 2 sides put out. We definitely need quality in depth but I don't think it's crucial to get one of the Premier League attackers. Not that I would say no to either of them just not losing sleep if we don't. If each of us did get 1 of them I would be happy with either of the 3 knowing they're good competition. I'm perfectly happy with our current first choice 3 starting most games though with a little rotation between them. This is the position I'm most relaxed on this window.

Well if we're looking for a high-pressing versatile forward, apparently Joao Felix has been made available. ?

He’d be my dream signing tbf. Young, can play across all 4 forward positions, fast, technically unbelievable, presses like a machine, excellent in transition so would slot straight into Contes system.

Never happen but if I could choose a forward to sign it’d be him.

Felix is a day dream...
Bought for 120m€ - he has 4 yrs left on contract. His current salary is 240k£ a week.

Even if we assume they ready to take hit, cant see fee being less than 90m or 100m Euro. Considering Fee, Salary - its a no go. I can understand this amount spent on a player like Lautaro. Felix is still a risky signing for this money

i mean I know it doesn’t work like this but. Sell them Emerson and GLC add the money we are apparently willing to spend circa 50/60 million euro.

Now it's Spursonal

Seeing as Paratici loves his player exchanges and the fact that Simeone really wants Lo Celso and Royal, you have to think Paratici will chance his arm atleast ?

Emerson+Lo Celso+ entire rumoured £150m warchest would probably still be about 50 million short for Felix lol

Really tho, who would buy him? PSG don’t need him and probably couldn’t afford him at this point, City possibly? But do they need him, maybe with Sterling, Jesus and possibly Bernardo going but again that’s a large fee after Haaland and they have Alvarez joining, Real for obvious reasons wouldn’t be an option… who’s left with that sort of budget? Liverpool just got Nunez, but could have seen him fitting in well their and they probably could have afforded him.

Not saying we would be interested, like you say, another one that be way to rich for our blood. One can daydream tho I guess. Will be interesting to see if he moves, personally I don’t think he will go anywhere.

The thing is as much of a good side I think we'll look to be with all the other pieces to puzzle and with Kulusevski starting still, it's this type of forward player (as well as players like Dybala and Lautaro) in addition to what we have that would really finalise the starting 11 IMO, or at least create massive excitement and send a big statement. I don't think it's a necessity (as for example I'd be incredibly happy with Kulu and Raphina for that right side) and I feel super harsh on Kulusevski here in general but teams would shit themselves having to deal with Kane, Son and another already established world class player.

Sorry for going a bit off topic!

You seem to have "first choice" syndrome, too. We saw what a lack of competition for places and freshening up did back in 2018.

Still think Richarlison is the most versatile of all the forward players we are being heavily linked with.
Young.
Prem experience.

Seems to make the most sense as a signing.

Agreed, think we are going to go for him. Considering it seems there is decent possibility Winks goes the other way, Bergwijn’s sale covers most of the rest of the fee, and Richarlison apparently wanting to leave, it all kind of aligns well.

Yet the best we've ever been was under Poch when we largely had a first 11. We rotated a bit with fullbacks and also the odd change in centre midfield and centre back. We didn't rotate attack so much. When it came to big games though we pretty much knew our best 11 and played it when available. I'm not disputing the importance of strong competition by the way. I just am not too concerned with the forward positions because I do feel the current 1st choice front 3 will play most games. The wingbacks and central midfielders will need rotating more.
