Getting very concerned about our hunt for a forward.

Scum looking likely to get Jesus and Raphinha. Chelsea likely to get Richarlison if they’re in for him and Sterling.

Are we going to be the odd ones out, left with the rubbish leftovers as we have so many times in the past?

Interesting though that Marina is on her way out of Chelsea. Apparently Todd Boehly is doing all their transfer negotiating this window. Could make a complete mess of it.

It'll likely be an Ed Woodward situation. Lots of overpays trying to show how "serious" he is.

Think it's probably a bit early on for "getting very concerned" Nick, when we're still this side of the solstice.

We have son and Kane, this has always been the problem. (If you can call it a problem)

Even if we sign richarlison, if Kane and son are fit and it's an important game, will richarlison play? No

Will Jesus play? No

Possibly raphina in place of kuvuleski. But even then I'm not sure.

Chelsea and arsenal have massive gaps up front. So if I was richarlison I'd be more confident of getting in the Chelsea or arsenal team than spurs.

This is always going to be the problem. Richarlison is a starter for Brazil, he is 25, he might get a good amount of games at spurs, but it's not about that. It's about being a first team player. He will not be that at spurs.

I think we'll end up getting two players, someone in the mould of raphina and an older experienced target man.

Chelsea are looking at negotiating a price for Sterling, so they put it about that they’re also interested in Richarlison to force the City price down.

Arsenal trying to agree a price for Jesus, so they do the same. See also the interest in Raphinha.

This is the game. I’d quite like us to nab Richarlison and I’m glad we appear intent on buying a forward of that calibre this summer.

I think if we are seriously targeting forwards then we’ll get who we want (if indeed we are). We will not lose Jesus to the gooners if we really want him. Personally I think Richalison will come or maybe a forward not even considered by us mob yet. We will have a rounded, more balanced squad hopefully.

But there is always still the niggling thoughts of our recent buying history, coupled with the super enthusiasm of some of our guys on the ground. I hope for all our sake it doesn’t end up like that.

didnt realise chelscum arshole and spurs have the exact same transfer list . agents are working to earn there bread it seems
This.

So many rumours, I'd imagine loads of conversations going on all over the place.

Chelsea and arsenal will sign players but so will we. No point getting worked up by every rumour.

I reckon we will end up very happy by the end of the window.

It's 20th June FFS and we've already signed 3 players, 2 of whom are top quality ones. Bissouma came from nowhere and neither of those 2 have signed those players yet.
Drama queen.

its not about the date, it's about the availability of top players. I'm not panicking but it's a valid concern to worry about what might be left when the rich clubs still have a lot of pull.

I always feel players coming from other PL clubs tend to do better with us than with the chelscum and arse. So I'm chill.

indeed. Just going through the papers shows that almost every article says Arsenal/Chelsea looking to Steal/Beat/Fight Spurs for a player. Yea right, like it will ever come to a biding war and all London clubs want the same player :D .If Spurs feel the player wants to come and they want him, they will try, if they have any reservation and just waiting for a Chelsea bid, i bet Fabio will just say f of and go on to the next.

None of our striker targets have moved anywhere yet. So the concern is based off a hypothetical scenario

A few days old from June 15th but I thought the quotes were interesting...

"Stan Collymore reckons Tottenham boss Antonio Conte could be the man to turn Richarlison into the player he has long threatened to be — just as he did with Romelu Lukaku....

Although that hasn’t worked out either and he is now trying to work his way back to Inter. Conte is no longer there, of course, and is instead at Tottenham, where he wants to link up with Everton star Richarlison. And former Liverpool and Aston Villa striker Collymore, a Mirror Sport columnist, is confident he’s the manager the Brazilian needs at this stage of his career.

Collymore said: 'Richarlison is a strange one — he’s confident, he’s cocky but I haven’t seen him dominate a season since he has been in English football. There have been spells where he has made me go, "Crikey, this kid has everything: he’s built like a bulldog, he’s a beautiful athlete and he has an undoubtable ability to score goals." But I’m yet to see him take a campaign between the teeth in the way he should, and that’s why Tottenham’s belief in him is interesting.

Perhaps Conte is the man to shackle his excesses and turn him into a proper player. By that, I mean I just want to see him being a functional forward who scores goals with good movement. I don’t need the multi-coloured hair, the trolling of Liverpool fans, the sniping at Jamie Carragher on Twitter, because that’s more what he’s known as for now instead of being someone you’d bank on for 20 goals a season.

But if Conte could get into him like he did with Lukaku then he’d be brilliant for Spurs, because with Heung-min Son and Harry Kane he’d be interchangeable. Everyone would be walking off the training pitch at 1230pm and he’d get a, "Not you, son, you’re staying with me," from Conte. And he’d benefit big time from it.'"

You're being very pessimistic tonight. Chill and dream of Bissouma. Tomorrow's another day

I know, its crazy how pessimistic some people are.

I trust in Conte and Paratici. These deals have a lot of moving parts and we could be waiting for outgoings to be confirmed before we pull the triggers on some. It could be a big domino effect.
