I agree with you, Im just saying in those friendlies he was bustled off the ball a few times quite easily. He came on against Juventus and he struggled a little physically. No shame in that though, he's still a kid after all.
When Lennon first came onto the scene he was immense, I'd say he never fulfilled his potential. Lets hope Edwards has a bit of a better attitude about him.
Yeah he was but it didn't deter him he got back up each time and kept doing what he does. The game these days is skewed towards attacking talent in that with the exception of thugs like Charlie Adam opponents can't get away with putting reducers in. They'll look to bring him down outside the box but that will result in yellow cards and I doubt they'd dare touch of inside the box. In those friendlies he looked ready to be able to influence games once they open up. Starting in the prem with our brand of attrition football might be a few years away for him until he does bulk up a little as you say.
The young Lennon was the ultimate bums off seats player, he was so exciting particularly since we spent the past decade largely watching older slower pros at the end of their careers. What might have been if he was more professional and had a coach like Poch to develop him.
