Lucas Bergvall, 18, is ready for Tottenham Hotspur.
A transition SVT Sports expert Daniel Nannskog ranks highly.
- It hits louder than when Zlatan went to Ajax, he says.
Hear Daniel Nannskog's thoughts on the transition in the player above.
One of Sweden's biggest football transfers of all time was confirmed last night. Lucas Bergvall leaves Djurgården and joins Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur.
The transfer sum landed at SEK 113 million, a sum that can rise to SEK 220 million with bonuses included.
- This is a super talent. He has stood out from day one. An incredible technician, a sense of the game that is something very special. It's a really sick talent, says SVT Sports expert Daniel Nannskog.
The 18-year-old first looked more or less ready for Spanish giants FC Barcelona. Instead, it was London and the Premier League - something that surprised Nannskog.
- What I have been a bit questionable about has been pace. If there's one thing the Premier League does, it's that it goes fast. Maybe then he would have been better suited in Spain or Italy where the game is a bit slower.

This looks and feels like a very exciting signing.

Glad it seems our approach moving forward is to try to pick up one or two of these young exciting players at least yearly. Has worked wonders with Sarr and Udogie and offers very little downside at the fees involved anyway. Good recruitment.

And right there is what I mean.

Hoddle (for example) was a god. Dembele is nowhere near. He’s not fit to scrub Hoddles jockstrap clean, not even close. Nowhere near. But he sits alongside Hoddle as a ‘god’……….Do me a favour :D

All I’m saying is I don’t understand this cult surrounding him and the above is a great example of it. If people are going to equate that with me saying he’s shit then crack on
You do have to remember that a lot on here weren't lucky enough to witness Hoddle, and we were probably pretty shite for most of their time supporting us, so with that view, Dembele is probably one of the most talented footballers they've seen.

He's not quite "god" status for us old farts but it can't be said that he wasn't a beautiful player to watch.

Anyway, Bergvall will be better than both...put together! 😳😁

Lo Celso has been with us 5 years now and every single season he has had multiple lay offs.

You just cannot see him ever being a dependable player, even as a squad player

Sell Lo Celso, Hojbjerg and shift who is needed and go get Branthwaite, Gallagher, Werner permanent, Olise.

From there onwards target wonderkids

Olise is too injury prone at the moment, makes spending £60m on him a huge risk for a club like us.

I love him as a player but it’s too much of a risk, same with Neto.

Yeah both are injury prone but I guess we have to take the risk and hope with good Rotation we can keep them fit.

Because we need to get someone special on the right we just aren’t good enough there.
