I know because unfortunately as good as Trippier's delivery might be he would never be bought by a 'big' club as long as he's got a hole in his ass

Nowhere near good enough defensively. Not strong enough and will never be quick enough for the top sides in Europe

So does that mean Dele Alli is rubbish as he wasn't bought by a bigger club?

Just to revive this discussion in a more appropriate place than the summer transfer thread, I can't see how it would be a coincidence that Walker's been dropped for a semi final and now a momentous NLD.

On merit he really ought to be starting these matches, so I'm genuinely starting to wonder whether his head has been turned. I'll be interested in what Poch has to say about the decision to play Trippier today.

Hopefully Kyle doesn't want out but if he does? Well, get what would be a crazy high fee ( £40m +? ) in and re-invest.

Fingers crossed it's just a load of hot air. He and Rose are key players no doubt but given results perhaps they aren't as key as we once thought?

Suppose we'll see on Friday if he starts against West Ham. I think that will say alot about if it was tactical to exploit Monreal's height or not.

He did seem to leave the pitch sharpishly at FT and didnt show Poch much love.

didn't poch is known for selecting players based on performance instead of reputation?

Be terrible if we do end up losing one of our starters to a rival team. We don't wanna start sending those signals

I suppose, but Trippier hasn't exactly taken his chances. On the whole, we've been better off with Walker in the team this season and unless his level has dropped off massively in training I don't see why he'd find himself second choice now.

And if Walker's level has dropped off that drastically that Poch would genuinely see Trippier as the better option, it really makes me wonder where his head is.

Hopefully nothing untoward here, but Poch is more valuable than any player. If, and a big if Walker is looking to move on or has had a run in with Poch it doesn't really matter. If you don't want to be here, then happily move on. He has years on his contract and will attract a huge fee. Obviously this is all based on nothing. But not really a concern for me. Poch staying is the most important thing for this team.

Poch said a few months ago that Walker would not have played as many games this season as he has but for the fact that Tripz had a new born baby this year and wasn't getting much rest/sleep. Also I don't see Poch putting Walker on the bench and bringing him on if he was that pissed off with him. We had the same thing with Eriksen earlier in the season and that panned out well enough.

Walker is better than Trippier by a mile. Poch dropping him for the FA semi and the NLD is no accident. And bringing him on for 3 minutes todays isnt either. I dont know whats going on but I agree that Poch is bigger than Walker.

walker struggled during the match against palace so i think it is justifiable for poch to start trippier, especially the match was played a few days ago
i don't know why walker's performance dropped, maybe a knock, only the coaching staffs know

Agree that we have to back Poch no matter what, but if the situation (to the extent that one even exists) had deteriorated to the point of irreconcilability I don't think we would see Walker involved at all.

Hopefully we'll be able to bring Walker around and keep him on board (again, assuming there is something going on), the more I think about it the more it sickens me to think he might go. We were absolutely devastating during the short run of matches where we had both Walker and Rose in full flow in the 3-4-3 formation, it would be gutting for that partnership to be ended prematurely.

I really hope Walker is going nowhere the guy has been excellent for us, he gets what I feel is a lot of unjustified stick on here but I for one would be gutted to lose him.

I'm dubious that his head has been turned. Walker has been with us for a long time now and has always been very vocal about his passion and love for the club. A lot more so than say... Danny Rose as a comparative player where theres always been a slight feeling that he remembers his treatment from some fans in years gone by and has maintained a slight emotional distance. Walker has always worn his heart on his sleeve. I just don't see it.
