Not my type of right back tbh, although I’m sure he is competent there.
But I prefer the pacy, marauding type who can beat a player or two
Very hard to find I admit, however I love those type of attacking full backs and very important in today’s game

Almost cost Argentina a goal with over playing while last man back, got caught in possession

I want to convince myself he will iron these mistakes out of his game but the longer he makes these rash errors in judgement the more you wonder if it’s just who he is as a player ala John Stones

The kids a class act. For every mistake he'll make that leads to a goal his possession and passing ability will lead to 10 goals scored. Got to give incredible talent like his time to blossom I have every faith we have a future superstar on our hands. He oozes all of the top level stuff required to mould.

Stayed up for it and I Thought he was good as a RB tonight .
Skillful on the Ball, some good tackles and interceptions. Positionally good, Typically rash challenge got him booked tho

No idea what he'd gonna ultimately develop into

The whole Argentina team is really, really poor. He is one of the better players. One "forth trademark" mistake almost costs them an early goal. Otherwise, I think he is quite good today in this disaster Argentina team. Oh, and the trick against Coutinho is crazy.

(According to who scored, he is the second best player for Argentina after, well, a guy's called Lionel)

Very good performance from our Lad, was quite impressed to be honest and it was a big game pressure environment and he came off very well. Lovely little bit of skill which i think will be shown alot hit little dummy, i personally loved the way he nailed Willian :) Def was quite assured and solid performance.

Agree that was a nice bit of skill at the end

I can’t shake the impression that he reminds me of Chiriches. Plays midfield, center half, and right back. Loves a flick or trick. Loves a run into midfield. Loves two-footed lunges in and around the penalty area. I loved Vlad so I’m digging Foyth, but i hope he can iron out some of the bad tackles and bigger risks. Kid can ball and it seems like he’s got a good head on his shoulders.

Whoever spotted Foyth deserves a raise. For once it seems like we actually found a genuine talent before anyone else noticed. If he was at Porto, after a tournament like this, they’d be quoting buyers 50m+.

To be fair, it’s still arguably the biggest game of his career so far, I think early nerves at his age are to be expected

Hopefully he can take it to another level next season. Otherwise he'll soon end up in Dier-land, being shuffled around different positions with no one knowing what he actually is.

Hopefully Poch has a plan for him and Juan knuckles down and completes it

I think he'll do a decent job at RB but it depends on the opposition. He played quite well against a very pacy Venezuelan winger earlier in the tournament, but the pace forced him to play on the very limit and on another day you could easily see him giving away a pen.

He's such an all or nothing player. He's brave and commits to challenges which at times makes him an excellent 1v1 defender as he wins balls that others wouldn't dare go for. It also means he's constantly liable to give away a pen or make an error that leads to a breakaway or a goal. In this sense he's a bit of a luxury defender - if such a term exists. If we play him week in, week out, I guarantee he'll drop us points, but if we pick his games wisely he could be a true asset.

We're going to have to suffer in the short term to get the best out of what is an absolutely mega talent.
