Had some friends in Cordoba for the game and they said he looked beyond his age and experience.

No, it's about having a bit of perspective, respecting some of the greatest players to play the game and not overhyping yet another young player to the ever growing list.

He's a centre half that is comfortable on the ball and technical, that's practically every good centre half in the modern game.

He doesn't have anywhere near the strength of Ledley anyway, I doubt he will due to his frame...hopefully better luck with injuries than the King in his future though.

At the moment, John Stones would be a fairer comparison IMO... and Juan seems less risky (or confident as you'd see it) on the ball than Stones was at that stage at Everton...mind you he played 26 times (21 League games) in his breakthrough season when they finished above us in 5th.

That was the last match of the season we won 1-0 when Stones gave the home fans palpitations with some outrageous confidence in his own box (think he gave Sonny a bit of a run-a-round in the 2nd half especially).

Come to think of it, at the same age I'd rate John Stones a little higher than Foyth, but tbf Stones had played a lot more competitive football.

No, you just don't get it... we've got a world class player in our hands who will surely be guiding us to many trophies!

Okay, I'm just trolling you a bit. :D

Look, we're football fans, if we can't get excited about a young player who seems to be about to break into the first team with some very solid performances, both at national and international level, then I don't know what would be the point of being a football fan in the first place. yeah, we're probably overrating him a little bit, but we're allowed to because we're not Poch, Daniel or someone with any decision making power over THFC squad.

Yes, I don’t understand why some feel the need to piss on others chips.

Some like to rave and rant some look for a bit more reality.

Nothing wrong with either.

At the moment Foyth is showing good potential and like a player ready to play Prem football.

A good sign but for me nothing more than that.

I just wish one of Foyth or Sanchez was more comfortable on the left. I'm sure in time they can adapt to it, but as it is both are naturally right sided CDs. When Toby goes we will need to replace him with a left footed defender.

Also, his face is so pure and immaculate. And the words he is using are full of wisdom. I think he is new messiah.

The Argentina game is actually midnight tonight. So they could actually be back in London Wednesday evening.

Kick off 00:00, finish 02:15. Out of the ground 04:00. Back to hotel, sleep, breakfast, get to the airport 14:00. 2hour wait. Flight, land 05:00. Get out of airport and home 07:00 thursday morning.

Can't see them play saturday although possible.

I'd imagine they'll be on the bench. I bet that was the plan for both regardless of whether they played Tuesday or Monday though.

Agree. I know they go first class but it's a lot of travel and jet lag.

I was more just thinking from the overall squad perspective. We're clearly managing Lamelas minutes so I can't imagine him playing right off the international break and Toby & Sanchez will surely start this game.
