He's lucky the squad is short in other areas and we probably won't have the focus on bringing another first team keeper in. But from what I have seen from Gazzaniga, his place is still not secure.

Seemed to work for Man utd, Liverpool and Man city

Not initially with any of them. They were actually worse. DDG was awful first season. City had two goes at it. Liverpool also had 2 goes to replace mignolet

Unless you are buying proven guatenteed keepers then it's better to stick

In PL only gettible keeper is Schmeichel. Is he better than Lloris???

Ederson and Alisson started of well, and all 3 are better than Lloris

I can't think of another "top class" keeper who's performances are discussed so much. Yep he makes saves but his errors are getting worse and more common. He tried to gift them a goal with a pass in the first half last night

Wait are people blaming Lloris for the calamity goal?

I'm not. I'm saying he should have saved the first and that his weak pass out to Pedro in the first half nearly led to another.

LLoris typifies Spurs, we defend players that are clearly on the decline, to progress we need to be ruthless. Does anybody think Fergie would have tolerated so many goalkeeping errors?

He could've done better for the first goal yes but Pedro did come along way before it went through Lloris legs. The weak pass out nearly led to another but didn't, so we can pass that however the second goal I personally don't level any blame what so ever at Lloris what the hell was Trippier doing not looking where his passing.

Seemed like a total lack of concentration from Lloris v Chelsea. Passes the ball straight to Pedro in the first half, then the ball goes through his legs for their first. The own goal is more down to Lloris than Trippier IMO. Lloris can see the whole picture and should take command of the situation which he clearly didn't do. Playing out from the back is still creating needless pressure but his long kicking is pretty useless and usually leads to a turnover. After that display I'd be happy to see Gazzaniga in for the NLD. Might seem tough on Lloris but he's a liability at the moment. Don't think he's been the same since the drunk driving rap.

The thing is its not a one off, look back through this thread. I maintain he's been our best keeper since Clemence but I'm afraid his time has come, Gazza has to play now.

Do think a tough decision needs to be made. Yes he can have great games but so can most keepers across the league (often against us), but the regularity with which he costs us in big games is crazy. It's a mental thing. He even did it for France in the World Cup Final. We can't afford these setbacks in important games.

We missed an opportunity to take the captaincy off of him with the drink driving charge IMO.

The clubs gotta fix both fb positions and nearly the entire midfield before we take a look for a new keeper imo. And I'm someone who thinks Lloris' has been on the decline.

Don't think we will change keeper until we change manager. I'm a big Hugo advocate, but something doesn't seem right this season. Not sure if I'd make a change Saturday or not.

His kicking is terrible and so is some of his decision making. We should be looking to upgrade in a season or two but I think Poch is loyal, sometimes to a fault, and will stick with Hugo until he leaves

Lloris is the least of our worries trust me....he saves us more than he cocks up Imo and I totally blame Trippier for that calamity own goal. Our wingbacks ain't up to the standard that is a major problem with how we play.

To many mistakes in the big games.
As the Leader of the team, you're expected to give your best performances, and inspire the rest, the bigger the game gets. Not the other way round.
Jan should have be captaining this team imo, or Kane. But as long as Hugo is in goal, he has to remain captain. As taking it away from him, is only gonna knock his confidence more.

I just can’t agree with the first part of that comment. The cock ups are definitely more common than the stellar performances this season, and it’s been going that way for a while.

The second was a mix up, it can happen, but De Gea or Alisson would have saved the first, pretty sure about that.
