People getting moaned at for having concerns. It's starting to get like Twitter, whereby anyone has just the slightest of negativity to their opinion and they're told they're "having a meltdown"... It's not a meltdown, it's people tired of getting their hopes up and thinking "this window will be different", only for it to start to pan out into that all familiar territory of mediocrity, and possible let down.

People need to take responsibility for their own emotional responses. No duty of care is owed by a football club to its supporters regarding transfer activity.

Yes, I definitely could see that but could also see players opt for a shorter contract. All dependent on the perspective of the player.

Thing is, I still think we'll probably get this Lo Celso deal over the line, but I absolutely do not begrudge anyone who's having their doubts as we've all been here before with various targets in windows gone by. The excuses will get made if he doesn't come, but after hearing them year on year out, people are tired of it

At the start of this, did you think we’d be signing Lo Celso if we were keeping Eriksen?

Because, as I recall, at the start the implied dynamic was that Eriksen was leaving and Lo Celso was part of the replacement. Then there was ITK that he would come in regardless, often by the end of the week (which almost never happens). I can’t help but think that too many people allow themselves to get strung along and over invest. Then when things don’t happen or they take a long time they get upset because something has been taken away that may never have been there in the first place.

I think that people have a problem because after these fans get their hopes dashed, they lash out at everyone generating a miasma of negativity. Experience has surely taught us that when it comes to transfer sagas we know so little about what’s really going on that it’s better to remain circumspect until the end and enjoy speculation for what it is.

I'm new to this forum and it looks great. But the problem is, anybody who posts anything controversial or with a slight bit of criticism gets shot down and ridiculed by all the Levy lovers. We all want Spurs to be successful, and opinions are like arseholes, everyone has one. Just because someone has concerns or is being negative, doesn't make them less of a supporter.

On a brighter note, let's hope we win the Audi Cup tonight for some confidence going into the new season. COYS
