They got their skates on when other teams came into the frame. Hopefully they make a good offer ?

Such a strange period at Spurs. Clearly a player with talent, worked hard and could play in a pass.

Seemed to suffer with injuries that stopped him getting the pace of the prem. Maybe the manager chopping and changing didn't help him get any rhythm.

I'm sure he will do well in Spain or Italy but it's a shame we didn't get to see the Argentina Lo Celso at Spurs.

Yeah, it’s a shame for us really, not him. He plays well everywhere else but here. Some players just don’t adjust. I don’t blame them. I’d rather live in Spain too.

Excuses, excuses.
He’s a lazy wee bollocks plain and simple.

Not to be harsh but I don’t really have any memories of lo Celso.
I feel like in a few years he will be a click bait spurs trivia question

Worse signing than Ndombele in my opinion.
I think that’s harsh. It’s clear we have far more chance of getting at least some of our money back on Gio. I think he’s just a case of the wrong player at the wrong time for us. Came into a club in chaos and spent much of his time injured.

Where as Ndombele is a bone idle chancer who’s wasting his talent. We’ll likely have him stuck on the books draining 200k a week out of the budget for the next few years.

I recall him celebrating our goals/wins but I don't remember him being involved.
Came on and scored against City. He also had some quality performances in Europe. Just not nearly enough quality moments.
In La Liga however he is worth more than 20m, he's a 30m player over there. I would also fancy him to do well in Serie A so I think we should be able to get a decent fee really.

The same could be said for Ndombele who joined in the same window. The two players current values are where they are mainly due to how they performed on loan at their respective clubs, rather than at Spurs.

Ultimately we saw just how talented Ndombele is and what he's capable of, espeically in that (almost) full season under Mourinho. I'm really not sure you could say the same for Lo Celso at Spurs, you'd have to look at what he did elsewhere. Performance wise he was just a bit of a nothing player in the end.

I do remember there was a patch in his first season where he was a difference-maker for us, and I was convinced he'd become a linchpin in the team. Granted our overall form and the team performance was a dog's breakfast, so it probably wasn't too difficult to stand out by simply doing the basics right. His failure to kick on from there is probably down to a combination of factors (injuries, managerial changes, his decisions about playing for his country, etc.) rather simply one thing. Either way - it didn't work out, which is probably our loss more than his, as someone stated here. I'm sure he'll do well elsewhere though, and we'll do well with the reinvestment of the money we get for him - so swings and roundabouts and all that.

I find such justification really weird and unbelievable. Clubs are playing footballers crazy money to train and play football. They are grown men, with absolutely not lacking any abilities or resources to make their stay in a foreign country as comfortable as they want to be even if they are not used to it. Not like they are being holed up somewhere in a tent with no heater ffs as a teenager. They are a fucking privileged bunch of employees. What's 2 or 3 years of 'hard work' if they can earn millions comes end of it. And I'm not even expecting them to fulfil the full term of their contract.

Just put on the effort. It's this we don't see and that's sickening. Same to Ndombele.

Did we consider Lo Celso as the Eriksen replacement ? Was he a 10 ? Or an 8 ? And was Ndombele a 10 or 8 ? Depending upon the stats people used to interchange their roles as a coping mechanism. Oh X has no goals and assists ? he is an 8 mate...lol
