He's now lived in England longer than he's lived in Italy, so I would be surprised if that was the case.If anything that makes me think that the reason he is recovering in Roma is solely because he's homesick...why else would he need to go out there?
I have mot really been following this thread but does he have friends and family in Italy? I have a lot of Argentine friends in Lo don and one thing is clear and that is family is way more important for them than anything. They tend to live in multi-generational family groups, love the whole extended family and feeling of being part of a close knit community.
