That's a lot of responsibility, I hope outlook express is up to the task

Surely it’s in our court? if a bid is rejected it’s up to us

All depends on if a deal has been made and being considered (so no deal, but in their court) or if one was made and rejected (in our court)

In past transfer windows we would have (rightly) been melting down over the club not signing a player we thought the coach wanted.

But since January we have signed 7 players who all improve the first team squad. And we have Doherty who was playing very well before his injury back.

I’m chilled if the search for a RWB stretches out to the end of the window.

But that's a debate for another thread.....

Must be frustrating for Chris Wilder as I'm sure that he sees that as a decent transfer kitty at risk. He seems fine about Spence leaving, which isn't all that surprising as he's managed without him.

With all this extended time over his signing- I hope if we do get him in, then he can handle the expectations/ pressure that's been built up over this negotiation time etc.
It seems a lot for a young/ inexperienced player to handle.

A host of journos including John Percy of the telegraph reported last week that the fee was agreed. To my knowledge he is very rarely wrong. I wonder what happened

We've had ITK it's the add-on payments that are the problem.

The add ons were reportedly the issue. Gibson probably wanted a stupid bonus like a fee when djed spence gets his first ferrari.

We wanted to get players in early and worked really hard to get them before the Korea tour but that's here now and we are going to concentrate on that.
Transfer business goes on but I reckon we'll be a little more accepting of time passing as we've still got over a month to go.
Spence has missed the tour so a level of urgency has been removed.
