Yes of course but you’re still putting the player in the shop windowHuh? Whether a purchase option exists does not matter if the player himself doesn't want to join, just like Toby rejected Southampton

The only annoying thing would be if he plays well for us and gets plaudits, then it’ll take a chunk out of next season’s budget. You would have hoped that some kind of agreement could be found.People shouldn't stress about not having an option, if indeed that's even true.
He's not a global superstar who will almost certainly year it up in the PL. He's a good player who's lost his way a bit, so this is a calculated risk as a signing, and brave of him to try a new adventure and rediscover himself.
Barca don't want him. He hasn't worked out there. If he performs brilliantly for us this year then (1) we've had a great year from him, and (2) there's a good chance he'd want to stay rather than risk going back to Barca where it wasn't working.
Some players just don't work at some clubs. Soldado wasn't a bad player, he was brilliant in Spain; he just was a bad fit for us.
Hopefully its mutually beneficial.Yes of course but you’re still putting the player in the shop window
The no option makes complete sense if we do sign another CB this window. Though it could be likely if he has a class season then he may choose to move elsewhere. Anyhow, that’s a problem for next summer. Awesome signing!
Edit: confirmed incorrect by Barca belowThe deal is reported to have an option-to-buy clause included.
If so it'll be Tanganga and Rodon.Fully behind him.
I'm expecting 2 of Rondon, Sanchez and Tanganga to go either on loan or permanents.
If that's the case another CB is coming, although not as higher a profile as some are expecting imo.

Yes...That's literally what I wrote. They are not saying it themselves, they are saying it is reported (by someone else) that there is an option to buy. It's a subtle difference.

Yes, I missed off the "s" by mistake. Sorry about the whole post, mate. Was just posting an article I thought might be useful. We already knew there were reports. Saying the BBC are saying it changed nothing.
Well, if you read it again, it's not 'literally' what you wrote. You literally wrote "BBC saying report [sic] are there IS an option to buy" which doesn't actually make sense and was just confirmation of what we have known for days i.e. that there are reports out there suggesting that we had an option.
Anyway, it's all moot since - as you have said yourself - Barca have confirmed there isn't an option.
