I'd be VERY surprised if we got anywhere near the 75-100 million being throwned around in this thread.

He has 1 year left on his deal and not as in demand as say Sanchez, RVP or Hazard was/is. I would love us to get those amounts, but can't see us getting more than 30-40 max.

I'd be very curious why so many think anyone will pay that much for Eriksen when they can get him for free in a year? Help me understand.
Hahaha 30-40m. Not a fucking chance. Him playing another season is worth more than that. You think Levy will watch Hazard go for 100m, and think 'yeah, I'll let Eriksen go for a third of that'?

Someone on here said PSG which might be possible.

Doesn’t PSG have some FFP issues? If that’s true, I’m sure Levy will place a very high price to deter them from getting him or if he does go there, then we get a tasty fee.

Perhaps he really only wants to go to Madrid. But there are several other clubs like Juventus, Munich and PSG who might also be considered a 'step up' (as Christian so charmingly put it) in terms of consistently competing for titles. Teams that expect to clear up in their domestic leagues every season and mount a serious challenge for the Champions League year in year out. Then there is also the possibility of Man U turning his head by offering him silly money. Hopefully there are enough interested teams (and teams he is interested in joining) to create competition and keep his value relatively high during the summer. If any of the elite teams believe he could be the difference between having a good and great season they will pay a premium to get him in now rather than wait until next summer or risk losing out completely.

My heart was in pieces when Bale left, dispite the five signings; because he was peaking, and constantly influencing games with goals etc. Eriksen has been off the boil for the whole season in general. Yes he has contributed etc, but has not been the same player.

Wish him well if he goes. If he stays, ‘F’ng step up!’. Those are my views.

While I agree that he’s been off the boil, it is not to the extent that some (not you) are stating and the reality is that while Bale leaving took our stand out best player and a guy who made the entrance money worthwhile, losing Eriksen is like losing the a handle on a bike, steering the damn thing is fucking hard without it.

I'm not so sure it's that bad of a thing to do if that's true. To be fair Poch himself hinted publicly at leaving in the build up to the game (if we had won).

Exactly. We could also look at it with a positive spin and say that he has given the club a bit more time to look for a replacement during the TW.

I'm over it - just want the replacements signed up now.

Other teams manage to score goals/take corners without Christian Eriksen. No reason why we can't sign one or two to take the reins.

I don't resent him going. He's been a good servant for us and I don't feel he has a lot more to offer if he stays. Tbh he's been pretty mediocre this year. Let's send him on his way with good grace, get decent money for him, and replace him with a better player.

Sorry, but I would. He can be so much better and everyone knows that. He had so much respect from everyone that I don't believe the lads called him maestro for fluke. But his last few performances were so meh when we really needed him to step up for such crucial points of the season. Wouldn't it be the best glory manner to have a CL winners medal around his neck before departure? Feels so sad now knowing his actual state of mind. Sighz

A lot of people seems to think Eriksen has had a bad season. Let's not forget how bad we looked the few games Eriksen was missing or started on the bench. He makes the team tick and has a very special understanding with Kane. Also always work hard, almost always runs the most meters per game.

Agree. He wasn’t the only player that didn’t have the best of Seasons with us .

I love CE. Would like him to stay. Understand his desire for a new challenge. Down to the club to replace him wisely. Not sure he had to go public though!

If he does leave this summer, I’d want us to get his replacement/s in first so that we would not be left with our pants down and at the mercy of the selling club/s.
