"- Jeg har den vildeste og dybeste respekt for alt, der er sket i Tottenham, og det vil heller ikke være negativt at blive. Men jeg har også sagt, at jeg gerne vil prøve noget nyt, siger Christian Eriksen"

"I have the deepest respect for everything that has happened and happens with Tottenham and it wouldn't be a negative thing to stay. But I've also said I would love to try something new."

Disappointing, but been pretty obvious. He’s not been focused this season and I can’t really blame him for wanting the move.

Just hope we don’t get stuffed with him running his contract down or having to accept a relatively low fee near the end of the window.

Hopefully we’ve learned the lesson and will push hard for Lo Celso before we know how this is going to be resolved. Because if Eriksen leaves which is looking likely we are going to need 2 creative players in order to improve.

What sort of fee are we looking at?
From Madrid? About 10p...

Kidding but in all seriousness if Madrid wrap up the signings of Mendy and Hazard they are looking at already having spent about 300m this window and yet to sell any players. Isco is probably the only one they would sell who retains enough value but he's not going for more than 50-60m either. Also rumors Madrid want Pogba or Ndombele (instead of Eriksen) so add another 80-100m there. Imo this will drag out all summer.

No hard feelings but let's get this done asap. Before these comments I thought that we should try to convince him to stay but having read that it seems he has made his mind up. No point wasting too much time on this. Tout him around and get as much as possible.

He’s gone stale here, despite all the effort and running. If he can’t regain his spark then he needs to move on. One of my favourites but all good things come to an end. The rumours about our longtime target Isco being allowed to move on are interesting.

Inevitable really.

Let’s offer RM Eriksen + €25M for Bale, Isco and James.

Seems reasonable to me.

My brother just told me that DL has made a statement saying ‘not this year’. Can anyone confirm or is he just talking round-things-in-a-hairy-sac?

Fuck me, although he is being really respectful he, imo, has handed the negotiating strength to the buyers.

I still can't quite work out why Real Madrid would want him. He's a great player but personality-wise I don't see him being a good fit at that club with it's ego-driven, theatrical culture. Barca would be more appropriate IMO, but I guess they're not looking for a player like Eriksen.

Your brother doesnt know who levy is if he thinks hes allowing a prized asset to run down his contract

If Levy blocks this, I doubt he'll renew his contract and can leave next season for free. Plus a year with a very talented but disgruntled player.

Unlike Levy to have dropped the ball like this imo.

If there is any mileage in bringing Bale back then we should at least use this to our advantage. If Eriksen really has made his mind up then at least make the best of a bad situation.

PSG could be sniffing around. One player they lack is a playmaker like Eriksen.
