It’s an interesting thought.

On paper Alli, Son and Lamela behind Kane should work but we look toothless when we have tried it.

I think we will look more dangerous if we can get quality full backs stretching the opposition’s defence like when we had Walker and Rose.

An extra passer in midfield could be a big difference as well.

The full backs are the biggest thing for me along with the extra midfielder as you say. Rose looks close to back to where he was but our RB hasn't been up to up it since Walker left.

Sissoko, Winks and 1 more with Alli, Son and Kane ahead and 2 bombing full backs is the ideal. Liverpool's set up has to be the template. It's what worked so well for us when we troubled Leicester and Chelsea

Come round to him going. To be honest, he is not the type of player who is going to drag us up when it's not going for us. Majority of the time, he shows up when those around him are having a good game. Yes he is a good player no doubt but just looks like he is going a bit stale after 6 years at us. He is good but I'm not convinced he is a Real Madrid level player.

I am finally ok to let him leave.

If Lamela stays, hope he can take up more of that role

I love Lamelas attitude. But we need players who we can trust when needed. Lamela fitness just can't be reliabe upon and if the stars align I hope he's sold. And to be fair I don't rate Lamela as high as some here. Eriksen is a much better playmaker and all round player.

Bringing in Lo Celso + a younger understudy would be ideal.

Can't believe some of the recent posts on Eriksen. He is a top quality player who will be very very difficult to replace when he leaves. His work rate is phenomenal on top of his undoubted passing ability and his goal scoring. He is three players rolled into one. Perhaps if he hadn't had to play almost every game in the past season he would have had done even better.
Ah some sense, and not just the same lazy narrative everyone else seems to be going with.

He was terrible yesterday as he has been for the majority of the season. Be surprised if Madrid spend serious wedge on him.

We'll clearly miss him when he goes because while imo he's not had the best form this season he's still the player most likely to create something.

I'm struggling to see his destination though. Madrid is apparently his preferred move but he is never a Modric replacement, one is a midfielder the other isn't.

I wonder whether Bayern might make a play for him. They’re gonna have a bit of a rebuild and I could see him fitting in well there.

IF true (it is via The Sun) then, with the greatest of respect for the player, and the utmost gratitude for his years of service. He can fuck off.

That's not aggression, or dismissal of his ability. If he doesn't want to be here, he can do one, as can anyone else who feels the same.

Yep, that moment he got it on his left foot, 20 yards out. Thought that would be a Denmark esque top corner equaliser.
Nope ballooned way up into the stands.

Glad he got that late winner against Brighton though!!!

Majority of the season? Bit much.

I hope that your final comment is sincere and not sarcastic, as without that goal we are in next year’s Europa league. In fact, his goals were worth nine points this season (equalisers and winners). Even before quantifying the value of his 12 assists, his goals alone were the difference between 6th and 4th. Not bad for a player having a shit season.

He's a great player and had shown himself to possess genuinely quality but I dont think anybody would argue that this hasn't been his best season, especially since the turn of the year
