Absolutely.

I think the PL has gotten more similar to Continental football tactically.

At the same time, SA football has become a bit more athletic.

So they have kind of met in the middle. Players like Verón were incredible in highly tactical structures but struggled with the speed of the PL.
I read the Agentinian league is pretty physical and tough tackling and alot of the players the players are hardened to that side of the game

I played footie Sundays with Argentinians and they are filthy. Little trips when you don’t even have the ball and hard tackling, absolute bastards suited me to the ground.

Will be interesting to see where we loan him. Not sure he is ready for PL level yet, and the Championship is a brutal introduction to European football. I'm gonna guess a Spanish side.

You don't bring a 19yo to another continent and immediately farm him out to another team/league/country. You are just asking for trouble; homesick, languages, culture etc. That is not how you carefully nurture a young man for the long term.

He either stays where he is for six months or stays at Spurs for six months.

I think that's a fair point, whether or not that's what happens remains to be seen. But in the first instance I think if you're going to fly the lad half way across the world it's only right that he gets to see and understand the club he's signed for before asking him to go to a third country (or leave him where he is, but by all accounts that's not happening).

I think whatever we have in mind for him we would already have discussed with him prior to signing. If that’s and immediate loan or staying with us. Personally I don’t see anything wrong with loaning him straight out to a European team providing it’s the right club with the a good infrastructure to deal with players coming from SA. I don’t see us sending him off to any old club.

Never seen him play. Only seen YouTube’s of goals and skills. But somehow, this is the player I am most excited about us signing for some reason. Hope this gets over the line!!

Airport interview in Spanish -

“I SPOKE WITH GIO LO CELSO: HE TOLD ME THAT I WILL HAVE HIS FULL SUPPORT AND HE WILL BE WAITING FOR ME". Alejo Véliz had a nice moment with Canalla fans at Ezeiza airport and told details of his arrival at Tottenham.

Hopefully this means that Lo Celso is staying
