Calm down dear. You don't think it's slightly odd that we have such a poor record with this referee?

No, coincidences happen. Where does him wrongly giving us a free kick when Shane Long was in on goal tie into your conspiracy?

Especially as he immediately stopped the game when Mane went down.
I think that was what made it bad, I wasn't happy that he let the game continue when Walker was laid out but accepted that was how he refereed only for him to stop the game five minutes later for their player, that was inconsistent and I cannot accept that.
The goal deflated us and we struggled from then on, we shouldn't have done and that is our problem but I still reserve the right to be pissed off at him.

Alright Mrs Moss, I'll leave him alone.

Giving up on the conspiracy that easily? I'll ask again - where does him wrongly pulling Shane Long up for a non-existent foul when he would have been clean through on goal fit into your theory? And more broadly, why would Jon Moss, a Sunderland fan, want to fuck us over?

Nothing personal, it just annoys me when fans are unable to prevent their bias from overtaking logic. It was a bad decision by Moss not to stop the game as it looked like a head injury. Referees make mistakes just like anyone else. Is Lloris a cheat because he failed to stop that first goal? Is Kane displaying his pro-Arsenal bias in not squaring to Lamela just before half time? We've got a 75% win ration under Lee Mason, is he cheating in our favour?

With regard to the Mane injury, I thought we put it out, didn't we? Maybe I missed a whistle but I could have sworn I saw one of our players put the ball out near the dugouts, rather than Moss stopping the game.

of course they arent going to introduce video replay. that way you are instantly removing the chance of referee being corrupted. suddenly they have to make the right calls. how are they gonna earn money like that?

i watch nba all my life and video replay is one of the most important aspect because it eliminates the chance to rob a team off its victory. introducing it to football would make no sense. italians would go nuts against this decision

Not sure why you are pushing this so hard. I never claimed some deep conspiracy. I just posted the stats and suggested that I find it suspicious. You clearly don't. Doesn't mean someone has to be proven wrong it's called a difference of opinion just deal with it.

Because you're implying a referee is a cheat with literally no evidence beyond one stat which could be affected by any number of things. There's no justification for suggesting he is, or might be, a cheat.

Moss is just a bit shit IMO, nothing more sinister.

Surely the two goal kicks he gave in quick succession to them were both obvious corners, gave them one that wasn't and in spite of being told via headphones he'd fcked up still didn't blow for the obligatory shove as soon as the ball sailed in.

Long put himself about and should have been carded earlier. Don't recall him being denied a clear run on goal by a non existent foul?

Refs are being more lenient it seems, not wanting to issue that first yellow which sets the mark for everything that follows thereafter. That made Clattenbergs job so much harder last Monday, along with him not talking to captains and benches about swarming.

How would that even be possible? FIFA as an organisation is completely and utterly corrupt, frankly I wouldn't be surprised if some mafiso bosses look at them and think, 'I know we're corrupt, but we're no FIFA.'
I've been told that Sicilian Mob bosses take the FIFA correspondence course.

Just read that Clattenburg has been give the CL final

Really is unbelievable, the bloke should'nt be allowed to ref a Sunday pub league match, let alone be let anywhere near the CL final.

Absolutely woeful referee. Can't believe he's been given the nod. Basically, they're saying he's the best ref in Europe (outside of any Spanish alternative). Just can't believe that.

Maybe we're all too hard on Clattenburg. Sure, the game at Stamford Bridge was completely out of his control, but that was a derby match between two bitter rivals who come from from the same city. I'm sure the CL final will be a lot... oh.

EPL referees are the best in the world.

They perform at the same elite levels as the players and coaches do. They make mistakes in roughly the same proportion as strikers miss chances, defenders mess up the off-side trap, and coaches pick the wrong formation. To expect refs to be better than that is entirely unreasonable. I reckon that if the average PL referee were a player, he'd play for a top 6 side. A high standard.

I can't watch La Liga any more, and a lot of that is down to the vicious cycle of cynicism and weakness the players and refs create. Messi falls to the floor - free kick. Doesn't matter whether it's a foul or not, there's just this kind of moral dishonesty whereby it's expected he gets one. Or, the ref awards a free kick near the box, and it takes 5 minutes to get players away from the ref, get the wall set, spray the lines, allow Ronaldo to puff himself up, and...finally...blow the whistle. It's like they're trying to choreograph "a moment", rather than letting the game play out. Like there needs to be a narrative set.

Pathetic. Weak. Dogshit. This is not the game being refereed properly - proper refereeing is about the ref being the boss, the players shutting the fuck up, the game flowing naturally with minimal fuss or delay, and consistency in decision making.

Thesis: It has never, ever in the history of English football been easier to spot a standard foul, a yellow card foul and a red card foul. The consistency, despite what everyone is saying, is amazing. In the old days, the yellow card used to be an unfathomable mystery - sometimes you'd get one, sometimes not. Nowadays, you instantly say "That's a yellow" when you see a foul, and 9 times out of 10 the ref agrees. That's never been the case before about 5 or 10 years ago. It's not perfect, but nothing is, and it's better than they manage anywhere else.

TL/DR: Everyone's talking shit.

I don't have strong opinions on referees or refereeing but I rushed to discuss this as soon as I heard the news! So hot on the heels of a such a masterpiece of fuckery at Stamford Bridge. My word...
