Welcome to the Nottingham Forest Vs Spurs Match Thread! COYS!

We want to bring the joy back into match days as these threads have just become full of over the top from at least a handful of posters. While we understand and have the same frustrations on the team and the performances the constant beating on the same players for just being picked is tiresome the same with going over how we didn't get more players in during the transfer window. We would rather not limit peoples access to this thread, so please before you hit post just read your post back...

STREAMING SITES

We cannot allow the posting of links to Streaming sites/apps and as a result of that do not allow posts asking for them as they invariably result in someone posting a link. Please do NOT hint at having, post or ask for links to streaming sites. The latest 'clever' way around this is to drop hints. That'll have to stop too I'm afraid as again, it results in people posting links.

Looking forward so much to this one. I think we are going to win, but as usual will probably be a tough encounter.

It going not to be easy. It’s their first game against a big team at home since getting back into the prem. they’ll be well up for it and I expect the crowd will be up for it too.

We need to make sure we don’t give them anything to cheer about early on and start quicker than we have done in the last three games.

I think we'll have more space in this game...should suit us.
I agree... West Ham could have scored 3-4 goals away at Nottingham with a little more quality, sharpness and luck. Thankfully they didn't ? ... I expect a good fight and a cracking atmosphere. But we will be too strong and solid for them. And we will take our chances... 0-3 Spurs ⚽️⚽️⚽️

As we left Wembley after the 1991 FA Cup Final, my old man passed this kid, must have been nine or ten at the most, all dressed in red and bawling his eyes out. 'It'll be your year, next year' he said.

Words that showed, I thought, both a) the innate kindness of my old man and b) why he was such a shit gambler.

I wonder if that kid will be there next Sunday. Early forties now. Happy at being back in the big time, no doubt, but still waiting for it to be his team's year. Will he look at the serried ranks of Tottenham fans and recall with bitterness the pain he felt that day and the shattered dreams he's suffered since? Or will he just shout 'fuck off, you sarcy ****s' in memory of what were my Dad's well-intentioned words?

Who can say, but here's hoping he despises us even more after the game.

Spurs to win.

I’d like to see us start with Kane, Sonny & Richarlison in attack with Deki as RWB for this game.

My daughters partner (& his dad) have been Forest season ticket holders since childhood & they both “don’t like“ Spurs because of that final, they were both there, in fact he might have been that boy!!
Tried to get me a ticket (in Forest end) for this match, but alas to no avail.

Forest's best asset is their coach who I think is cracking and he will have them prepared to play against us. It's not true to say there are no easy games in the prem because there are but what is true is that you can't rely on any side to give you an easy game, that said I'm confident we will come out on top and make it look relatively easy.
They've lost to Newcastle earned a win over West Ham but boy did they ride their luck in that one, and drawn with Everton who are going to struggle this season so I really don't see them challenging us this week.

Nottingham Forest are interested in signing 29-year-old Ivory Coast defender Serge Aurier, who is a free agent after being released by Villarreal. (Footmercato via Express)
