We have scored 23 goals in 10 matches since Mourinho arrived. Seriously, I don't think our attacking unit is the problem. All attackers miss chances. They are paid to take risks and try stuff, not play safe. The idea that Harry Kane isn't "ruthless" is a bit ridiculous.Both Kane and Alli should have put us 1 nil up before we conceded. That happens and I think we stroll to an easy win. For far too long now we consistently miss big chances at big moments in games. Until we learn to be ruthless we’ll continue to drop silly points as our defending is something you’d associate with a championship team.
It's the 17 goals conceded in those 10 matches that are keeping us from climbing further up the table. Defenders are paid to be organised and secure, not to try audacious tricks and risk mistakes. That's where the problem is - that and the lack of effective cover in deep midfield.
