Whilst we are all being realistic, I might make a thread where we can discuss taking body parts from dead world class footballers to create a reanimated super player. Will save is a fortune in the Summer.
Is this ITK or opinion?

Indeed this is one of the most pointless pie in the sky threads I've seen on here.

This could be said about so many threads regarding Spurs on here!
How many times have we seen the response “Daniel is not on SC” or something to that effect.
As you mentioned yourself, It’s all just a bit of fun really and allows folk to talk shit without feeling embarrassed as they’re behind a keyboard.

It seemed great that we are the 10th richest club in the world but thinking about it that's no good to us as the club will be harder to sell

The club is valued at 1.6billion. If big Joe isn't looking to sell someone will need to offer over 2billion....

As the general concensus seems to be
American owner - good
Everyone else - baad
Can we please add kroenke to the list. He can co-own us and the arse and lead us both to greatness!

The current owners are British. Are they any better? Of course not every rich American would be a good owner. Liverpool seems to do ok. And aren't we glad Kroenke owns Arsenal?

Of the names on the list that are Americans, I only think Bezos might and I emphasize might be an ideal owner. Hard to know as he doesn't seem to be into sports. The rest suck.

I think the ideal owner is someone who has money and wants to build a sporting empire but do it better than Shitstan Kroenke.

As a club we are set up to compete (not necessarily win), so with that in mind it's only worth selling to someone who has an interest in making us winners. How much an owner is worth is meaningless if we continue to be run as part of a balance sheet

You joke, but if the right person takes them over it won't take twenty years and 46 five year plans to get that club rocking again :D
If the Saudis buy them for a bargain 250 million then there will be plenty to spend on players. It'll be the Keegan years but with actually winning things.

This sort of statistic makes me feel sick but I don't know if its fully down to ENIC or are we just a cursed football club? ?

Pretty sure that does not explain his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein...
Yes, agree. And you used the term 'creepy'... but I didn't understand the context, as you didn't mention Epstein. But, I see what you mean. Then again, I'd wager every rich asshole owner of a football club, or just a rich asshole in general, has more likely than not done the odd deviant thing here or there. Just depends on whether or not they are caught.

I've heard worse stories about Ballmer and others on Microsoft's ELT. Some are certainly conjecture. Some are first hand accounts. Icky, icky accounts. Whether they are true or not, is open for debate... as I am a firm believer in the 'ol 'innocent until proven guilty' malarkey!

Sadly, money corrupts many older men. Some are better at hiding it than others. However, I do see your point about Gates. And if true, that's rather sad, but predictable.

Anyhoozle, you have no need to worry about him wanting to buy Spurs. He's not a Sports 'guy'. Has zero interest in it. The vast majority of his money goes into the B+M Gates Foundation. Which... I can at least say with absolute truth, has helped many around the world. Would be nice if the likes of Bezos and Musk and Zuckerberg did the same. Alas...

They leave the club to win trophies at another club that has the ambition to win trophies. They arent leaving because we're cursed. They leave because ENIC doesnt have ambition.

Yep it's because Spurs under ENIC are not run to win trophies. We are run on a budget to try and make top 4 to get CL revenue. That is it.

On top of that we have a loser mentality permeating through the club which comes from Levy himself, so that we never do what Leicester did and actually beat a rival in a final.

uggg Rich people make me sick. Ideally fan-owned

I'd hate Bezos and Musk or frankly any one I know. The less I know about the owners the better. Take joe Lewis, I know he's a tax exile and all that, which really isn't great, but I'm at least ignorant enough to pretend that isn't the case.

Also, while odd to say, I'd rather be a club bought for investment than a rich person's plaything, I'm not entirely sure why, but there you are. But for me, this whole talk about ownership, and people wanting to hit the rich mans lottery, kinda makes me sick. I really hope the pendulum swings at least a little away from that in the future.

Mind, I'm not someone who gets off at success, I wasn't success sure, but there are more important things that, however strange that may sound to some people.
