I don't think we have a better opportunity than right now to appoint a great manager to take this club forward (caveat being sufficiently backed).I wouldn't mind sticking with Mason if there was a scenario where the right target wasn't available.
Tottenham might need a full rebuild and the priority might not be getting the best coach.
If we decide that the priority is to sell 10-15 players that will take more than 1 window. It might be the right idea to have Mason do the best with what he has and let him coach while we nuke the squad. Then go for someone A-star next year.
I know thats not nice and setting up a young coach to fail isnt good but we might have to be ruthless to set the club back on the right course.
Next summer with expectations lower, a smaller squad with some youngsters around might be a better foundation for the top coach we want to deal with instead of this fucking mess of a squad thats too big and has no value in it
